(13 January & 20 January) Qi Gong (pronounced Chi Kung) is an ancient practice of cultivating vital life-force energy in the body; consisting of simple physical movements, meditation, creative visualisations, breathing exercises, sound intonation, and selfmassage to revitalise the body and heal your spirit. Qi (Chi), can be used to enhance any function, resolve any challenge, and to elevate consciousness. Practising Qi Gong becomes your own intention to become a part of the emerging force for real and permanent vitality and well being for yourself, your community and beyond. Qi Gong has now been recognized as a ‘standard medical technique’ in China, and included in the medical syllabus of most major universities in China. Introductory course for beginners. SPECIAL WORKSHOP The Basic’s of Learning How to Paint With Ruth Cohen BA (Hons) Grad Dip, MA Thursdays 9:00 am—11:30 am Trinity Main Hall Ruth will be offering specialised workshops over the Summer break, teaching an introductory course to painting in acrylics. A fee is payable for this workshop which runs over 3 weeks. If you would like to learn the basics of oil painting then come along to these workshops. You will finish the course with a work of their own to take home. This is a good course if you wish to learn the basics before moving onto another oil or acrylic art class. The information will not suit those interested in watercolour.
