Brightwood- Stadium of Dance Group Performance, Thursday, February 19, 2-3 PM. Back by popular demand to entertain teens/tweens with their creative and award-winning dance skills! They’ll perform different styles of dance routines including Afro, Ballet, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Modern, Salsa, Tap, and Tumbling, and invite the audience to come up and dance with the group by teaching them some of the group’s easy dance techniques. Central Library- Improv Comedy Workshop for Teens, Wednesday, February 18, 3:30-5 PM. The Phantom Sheep Comedy troupe will entertain teens and tweens with their own improv and sketch comedy, then bring everyone into the action by helping teens learn to create their own comedy! Central Library- 7 Minutes: A Literary Arts Spotlight, Saturday, February 28, 1-3 PM. Hosted by María Luisa Arroyo, Springfield’s first Poet Laureate. A literary showcase of local and regional writers (18 and older) who will share a seven-minute reading of their writing from ANY genre. Adults are invited to come listen.
