G I R L S W R E S T L I N G Illinois Girls Folkstyle State Championships March 15, 2015 Yorkville Middle School 920 Prairie Crossing Dr, Yorkville, IL 60560 Registration: $25.00 for Preregistration which will be done on TrackWrestling. $35.00 for Walk-in registrations will be taken at the door. Eligibility: All girls, Kindergarten to 12th grade. No college wrestlers. A USAW membership card is required and will be sold at the door. (must show a copy of your birth certificate OR previous USAW Card & an ID to purchase USAW card) Weigh-ins: Saturday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM Pre-registered ONLY at Best Western Plus Timber Creek Inn & Suites Saturday: 3 PM – 4:30 PM Pre-registered ONLY in Lobby of the BMO Harris Bank Center, Rockford, IL Sunday: 6:00 – 8:00 AM Pre-registered and Walk-ins on site; Wrestling should start at 10:00 AM Skin/Body Checks: 6:00 – 8:00 AM for ALL wrestlers even if they did a satellite weigh-in the day before Clinic: 8:45 AM – 9:45 AM; Clinician – TBD Coaching: All Coaches must have a visible USAW card and a wristband to be allowed mat side. Coaches must present current USAW coaches card and driver's license to receive a wristband. No exceptions. If a wrestler does not have a coach, someone will be found to coach her. Bracketing: 8 man blocked weights whenever possible to be determined by the number of participants in each division and weight class (an effort to have no more than a 12% difference of each competitor’s body weight and no more than 3 years difference in the 3 lower divisions). For brackets with less than 7 participants round robins will be used. Divisions:      JUNIOR (Born 9/1/1995 & after, plus enrolled in grades 9-12) CADET (Born 1999-2000) If needed age divisions may be crossed to form brackets but still SCHOOLGIRL (Born 2001-2002) target no more than 3 years difference for the 3 younger divisions. NOVICE (Born 2003-2005) Cadet & Junior may be merged if participation levels are low. INTERMEDIATE (Born 2006-2008) Awards:    1st - 4th place medals will be awarded. High School champions qualify to represent Team Illinois in the Junior Women’s Folkstyle Duals. All champions will have their entry fees paid for the Girls Folkstyle Nationals in Oklahoma City, OK (March 27-29) and will be given a Team Illinois singlet when they arrive at nationals. Those that are pre-registered 1 week in advanced will have their individual name included on the back of this years event T-shirt that will be on sale.
