The group is composed of ten senior researchers and a dozen of postdoc and PhD students, with strong expertise in the foundations of database systems, web data management, human-computer interaction and cognitive science. My research interests cover several aspects of the Web and database fields: large scale data management and mining, recommender systems, web information extraction, large graphs and social networks analysis. I am the author and co-author of 3 more than forty technical publications in international conferences and journals, national conferences, and book chapters. I participated and led research actions in national and European research projects (IP/FP7, ANR, FEDER, .) for several years. My main research achievements are on XQuery optimization (CIKM08), information extraction from the structured web (VLDB10, ICDE12), and social networks (DBSocial11, WWW11, CIKM12, RSWeb13). I participated to several national and European research projects (five national projects since 2008, and one FP7 IP project). I led the research on social networks in the ANR-ISICIL project (2009-2012), on version control of XML documents in the ANR-LPOD project (2009-2011) and in the FEDER-DROD project (2011-2013). I received an Habilitation degree (HDR) from the University Pierre & Marie Curie, a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University Paris-Dauphine and a Master degree in IT from the University of Paris II (Institut IMAC). I spent two years as an assistant professor at the University of Paris-Dauphine, before joining Telecom ParisTech (formerly ENST) in 1998. 2 Main achievements 2.1 2.1.1 Main teaching achievements Teaching responsibilities • Head teacher of the two main courses of database systems (more than 100 students each year), T´el´ecom ParisTech since 1998. • Responsible of the master MSIAG (Management des Syst`emes d’Information et Applications G´eographiques), a joint training programme with ENSG and Ecole des Ponts, 2006-2010. • Responsible of the Information Systems course (Pesto SI), part of the training programme of the engineers of the Corps des Mines, since 2011. • Responsible of the NoSQL course in the Comasic Master, a joint training programme with Ecole Polytechnique, 2012-2013. 2.1.2 Courses and students supervision • Advanced database systems: query processing, optimization, indexing, transactions, concurrency and recovery.
