Today in India, the influx of luxury brands and the development of
multi brand retailing practices have led to the requirement of
talented and skilled professionals. Design has its own language and
to commune with it, SFI has nurtured the concept of liberated
thinking in its students so that they are driven by their imagination.
This skill will certainly prove to be an asset in their work areas. With
this, I take pride in presenting you our first batch of design students
with the balanced combination of knowledge, skill and attitude that
will create a benchmark of its own.
DIRECTOR
With utmost delight, I am introducing the first graduating class of
2014 comprising of undergraduate and post graduate students in
various streams of design. The best known skills for a design student
are creativity and ability to interpret demands of the clients. Keeping
with SFI's vision of grooming fashion leaders at its best, the students
have been exposed to the latest curriculum designed as per the
industry standards. At SFI, we aim to achieve the holistic growth of

The design programs at SFI are taught with an amalgamation of

The programmes educate design professionals for the Indian & global industry
to respond to its burgeoning needs in the areas of luxury products, home and
fashion accessories, mass and high-end textiles, fashion forecasting, retailing
etc. The course prepares students for a wide range of careers such as fashion
and textile designers, graphic designers, merchandiser, fashion stylists, brand

consultants to the industry as well as craft sector.We associate with the industry
in multiple ways which are:
Internships: Two months on – job training after the completion
of the 6th semester in B. Design programmes and 2nd semester
in PG programmes
Graduation Projects: Four months on-site industry projects to be done in
case of B. Des. LA and FC and TD programmes in the 8th semester

FASHION DESIGN
With the motive of giving the best of fashion designers, SATYAM FASHION
INSTITUTE has emerged as a name which every aspiring designer wants to get
associated with. The Updated Fashion modules have been designed with
integrated dual specialization considering the distinct requirements of the
Industry. During the initial semester we indulge our students in activity base
learning and extensive industry interaction along with term project to groom their designing
and creative skills. Students are trained to identify and fulfill industry demands and
requirements to the best of their ability. Supervision of projects is done according to the
industry needs for cost control and wastage minimization. The students are not only trained
in designing and creativity but also in managerial skills and merchandising. In the last
semester they come out with their final project, range development comprising five to seven
sets of garments, all of which are 100 percent researched and designed by them. Seeing

FASHION COMMUNICATION & LIFESTYLE ACCESSORIES DESIGN
Fashion communication speaks an array of languages from newspaper
promotion to following on Twitter. The communication solutions help to
package fashion products making them appealing & omnipresent,
stimulating the buying impulse in the customer. The young professionals that
we nurture at SFI achieve this by generating and executing integrated
promotional strategies, bringing all the industry functions together, steering innovative
advertising campaigns and organizing successful shows and events.
The Lifestyle Accessories program at SFI prepares multi- faceted designers combining the
architecture and aesthetics of lifestyle products that are personal, functional yet expressive,
decorative and interesting to use by investigating human interaction with the product from
new perspective. We hone their skills for a wide range of careers such as designers, product
merchandisers and managers, entrepreneurs in various product categories, and interior or
exhibition promoters.
