Teams of 10-20 people can enter with the five fastest times from the team counting for the team medals and the winning team will receive the Big Game 10K Team Cup Trophy. Companies or running clubs can enter multiple teams in the race. “We invite Las Vegas corporations and also, small businesses to help spread the word so groups of their employees with come run in the race,” stated event promoter Don Franken. Tim Kelly, the race director and President of Las Vegas Running Club, is reaching out to local running clubs,” stated Franken. Kelly, who designed the course, heads up the weekly training runs for the Big Game 10K. The Big Game 10K is sponsored by Nevada Health CO-OP and Turntable Health. Registration is now open at www.biggame10K.com. The Big Game 10K celebrates the biggest weekend of the year in football. There will be, in addition to the 10K Run, a 5K Run/Community Walk & Kids’ Dashes. The races start and finish by Carson & 7th, located by Downtown Container Park. There are parties the entire Big Game weekend. This is highlighted by the Kickoff party Friday night, Jan. 30th, at Downtown Container Park. Also, the Touchdown Tailgate and Awards Ceremony following the Big Game 10K/5K races at the Gold Spike. There will be a pre-game party the day before the race and a Big Game Super Bowl viewing party so participating runners, walkers, and their friends and families can watch together the Super Bowl. This will be at The Commissary at the Downtown Grand Hotel. There will also be a three day Health & Wellness Expo. Race charity partners include Goodie Two Shoes, Howard Hollingsworth Elementary School, and Las Vegas Academy. $5 from every race entry will go to the favorite local, participating charity as selected by the runners.
