What is the difference between mineral and chemical sunscreens? AA. Both sunscreens use a different mechanism for protecting the skin. Mineral sunscreens are UV filters such as zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, commonly referred to as “physical,” which protect from and reflect UVA/UVB rays. Chemical sunscreens like oxybenzone, avobenzone, and octocrylene are also UV filters, most of which are designed to absorb and scatter UVA/UVB rays. QQ. Who can use this product? AA. The formula was primarily developed for babies and children. However, teenagers and adults with sensitive skin may also benefit from using this sunscreen. For children under 6 months of age, ask a doctor. QQ. How are the ABC products tested for efficacy? AA. Each product undergoes a battery of testing to validate it is safe, gentle and effective. These tests include, but are not limited to, independent lab tests, and usage and clinical studies. QQ. Why do you use plastic tubes to package these products? AA. We use recyclable and food-grade LDPE and PP plastic to package our products, ensuring safe and easy use. The plastic materials are shatterproof and squeezable. The tubes also come with a convenient flip-top cap, which make them ideal for use during bathtime, in the shower, by the pool or at the beach. 2014R01 01 ©2014 ARBONNE INTERNATIONAL, LLC ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. | ARBONNE.COM ACTIVE INGREDIENT ✶ Zinc Oxide 14.4% SOURCE Mineral FUNCTION Sunscreen agent INACTIVE INGREDIENT Water ✶ Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate ✶ Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride Cetyl Alcohol Cetyl Dimethicone ✶ Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract Chlorphenesin Coco-Caprylate Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax Dicaprylyl Carbonate Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax Glycerin Magnesium Sulfate Phenoxyethanol Polyglyceryl-2 Dipolyhydroxys-tearate Polyglyceryl-4 Isostearate Silica Dimethyl Silylate Sodium Chloride Stearic Acid Tapioca Starch ✶ Tocopheryl Acetate Triethoxycaprylylsilane ✶ Key Ingredient SOURCE FUNCTION Solvent Skin-conditioning agent Skin-conditioning agent — emollient Skin-conditioning agent Skin-conditioning agent — occlusive Opacifying agent Skin-conditioning agent — emollient Skin-conditioning agent Preservative Skin-conditioning agent — emollient Skin-conditioning agent Skin-conditioning agent — emollient Skin-conditioning agent Skin-conditioning agent — humectant Bulking agent Preservative Skin-conditioning agent — occlusive Skin-conditioning agent — emollient Slip modifier Viscosity Increasing agent — aqueous Aromatic agent Viscosity Increasing agent — aqueous Antioxidant; skin-conditioning agent Binder Plant Science Plant Plant/Science Plant/Science Plant/Science Plant Science Plant/Science Plant Plant/Science Plant Science Science Science Plant/Science Science Science Science Science Plant Science Plant/Science
