Financial aid consists of federal, state,
institutional, and private agency funds
provided to students and families to help pay
for postsecondary educational expenses at
universities, colleges, community colleges, and
accredited technical and vocational schools.
Direct
costs (tuition, fees, books, oncampus room and board

costs (personal expenses such as
entertainment, clothing, hygiene and

In spring 2015, the FAFSA PIN will be
replaced by a new Federal Student Aid ID,
comprised of a user-selected username and
password. Existing PINS can be linked to the

Priority will be given to students who meet the priority deadline of March
15th and have any two of the following :
Advanced Academic Programs
(12 SCH, Foundation High School Program or it’s equivalent, Distinguished
Achievement Program, or International Baccalaureate)

TSI Readiness
(meet Texas Success Initiative thresholds or be exempt)
Advanced Math
(complete at least one math class beyond Algebra II)
Left-over funds after priority students are awarded will go to other eligible
students who missed the priority deadline.
