If in a dubt, please consult with your dealer. Step 1 FInd the White or Black 4 pole diagnostic connector , usually under the seat. (see picture before) Step 2 Connect the GPT connector into Diagnostic connector . Step 3 Check carefully the correct connection between two connectors. Automatic Set Up This unit coming already pre-programmed, suitable for all Kawasaki models, ready to use after connection. To check if yr motorcycle is compatible with the Gear program follow this: After connected the Gear into diagnostic port, turn on the engine, on display will appear P and then 1 blinking, wait for 5 seconds and turn off the engine. Now start the engine and on display will appear a little line that mean Neutral and the Gear is ready to use. Warning: in automatic program the shifterligh don’t work ! Manual Set Up 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. Turn on the ignition key and a “ P “ will appear on display, means need to programm Start the engine “ P “ disappears, and digit “ 1 “ is flashing Insert the first gear with light cceleration with constant rpm (e.g. 2/3.000 rpms) A led flashing ( means the gear is stored) and on display will appear the next gear ( 2 ) Repeat for all the gears avaiable 3,4,5,6, and so on Reached the last gear (E.g. 6 gear ) and on display will show “ 7 “ pull the clutch and turn off the engine in case you don’t wanto to set the shifter flash 8. How to set up the shifter gear: (Not avaiable for series 2000 and 4000 ) reached the last gear E.g. 6 gear and on display will show “ 7 “ pull the clutch, stop the rear wheel, and increase the rpm untill the max of yr engine untill the letter H will appear on display, now stop to accelerate and turn off the engine, the shifter gear flash is setted. 9. Set up is finish NOTE: to validate the set up need to store at least three gears. Now, start the engine, if the set up is complete will appear on display “ r “ for 1 second then “ 6 “ for one second Check if the gears are correct. In case the set up was incorrect you need to reset the Gear indicator . Reset Procedure: Turn on the ignition key, the gear indicator show “ r “ for 1 second When appear “ 6 “ immediatly turn off the ignition key, you must repeat this procedure for five (five) times untill will appear on display “ P “ instead of “ r “ . wait untill the digit “ 1 “ will appear on display , at this time all the data stored previously will be lost. Troubleshooting This unit is equipped also with malfunction alert, if the communication between diagnostic port and the Gear is incorrect, on display will start to blinK a little dot on a right side of the digit. Please re-check again the correct connection. Schritt 1 Finden Sie den weißen oder schwarzen 4- poligen Diagnosestecker, in der Regel befindet sich dieser unter dem Sitz. (siehe Abbildung engl. Anleitung). Schritt 2 Verbinden Sie den GPT Stecker mit dem Diagnosestecker. Schritt 3 Überprüfen Sie Anschlüssen. sorgfältig die korrekte Verbindung zwischen den beiden Automatische Einrichtung Das Gerät kommt bereits vorprogrammiert und ist verwendbar für alle KawasakiModelle, und kann nach dem Anschließen verwendet werden. Um zu überprüfen ob Ihr Motorrad mit dem Gang-Programm kompatibel ist, gehen Sie wie folgt vor: Nachdem Sie die Ganganzeige mit dem Diagnose-Port verbunden haben, starten Sie den Motor. Im Display wird „P“ angezeigt, dann blinkt die „1“ auf. Warten Sie 5 Sekunden und stellen Sie anschließend den Motor aus. Starten Sie nun den Motor erneut, auf dem Display ist eine kleine Linie zu erkennen. Dies bedeutet neutral, und die Ganganzeige ist Einsatzbereit. Manuelle Einrichtung 1. Schalten Sie den Zündschlüssel ein und im Display wird ein "P" angezeigt 2. Starten Sie den Motor 3. „P“ verschwindet und die Ziffer „1“ blinkt auf 4. Legen Sie den ersten Gang ein, Beschleunigen Sie leicht und halten die Drehzahl konstant (2000 – 3000 u/min.) 5. Eine blinkende LED bedeutet, dass der Gang gespeichert wird und im Display erscheint der nächste Gang 6. Wiederholen Sie dies für alle zur Verfügung stehenden Gänge (3,4,5,6). 7. Beim Erreichen des letzten Gangs (z.B. 6) erscheint im Display „7“, ziehen Sie die Kupplung und stellen Sie den Motor aus, wenn Sie den Schaltblitz nicht einrichten möchten. 8. Die Einrichtung ist beendet. Beachten: Um die Einrichtung zu abzuschließen, ist es notwendig zumindest drei Gänge zu speichern. Starten Sie nun den Motor. Wenn die Einrichtung abgeschlossen ist, erscheint auf dem Display für 1 Sekunde „r“, dann für eine Sekunde "6". Überprüfen Sie, ob die Gänge korrekt sind. Für den Fall, dass die Einrichtung inkorrekt ist, müssen Sie die Ganganzeige zurücksetzen. Reset Verfahren: Schalten Sie die Zündung ein, die Ganganzeige zeigt für 1 Sekunde "r". Schalten Sie die Zündung sofort aus, wenn "6" erscheint. Wiederholen Sie diesen Vorgang 5 Mal, bis im Display „P“ statt „r“ erscheint. Warten Sie bis die Ziffer „1“ erscheint. In diesem Moment werden alle zuvor gespeicherten Daten gelöscht. Fehlerbehebung: Diese Ganganzeige ist mit einem Fehlfunktionen Alarm ausgestattet. Wenn die Verbindung zwischen Diagnose-Port und Ganganzeige falsch ist, blinkt auf dem Display ein kleiner Punkt auf der rechten Seite des Displays. Bitte überprüfen Sie noch einmal die korrekte Verbindung.
