If you need spare parts for your existing gauges, it is possible to order them while supplies last.

3,5‘‘ hard disk with EIDE connection, 40 GB. Type: Western Digital WD400
Until when can this hard disk be delivered?
While supplies last.
Is it possible to buy this part from IMS after the date of discontinuation?
No
Is it possible to repair the item?
No
Which measuring systems are affected?
All IMS measuring systems equipped with this hard disk type are affected, in particular M-servers
with identity code beginning with 5620-012-A001 or 5620-012-A006.
Which target group is affected by this discontinuation?
We will inform all operators who have this hard disk in use.
Why are the components no longer available?
Our subcontractor terminates the production of this hard disk type.
What happens when this component fails in an IMS system and the operator does not have
a spare part available?
The measuring system is then operational only under certain conditions. Notably, it will not start
any more after the next power cycle.
Are there alternatives to this component?
Basically, you can use every 3,5‘‘ EIDE hard disk with capacity > 40 GB (more exactly LBA of
minimum 78165360). Its performance is not critical usually. Test the substitute part for suitability in
long-term operation.
How are IMS systems currently supplied?
The current IMS systems are equipped with 2,5‘‘SATA hard disks.
