Khalifa Steel Industries W.L.L., an ISO 9001:2008 certified company, is a comprehensive enterprise based in Doha, State of Qatar. As a
recognized market leader in steel products, we have a proven record in setting new trends and introducing alternative solutions. Having
established a strong base and the entire necessary infrastructure for future development, Khalifa Steel industries W.L.L. is proud to
introduce a new Exclusive Distributorship. From 1st of February 2014, Khalifa Steel Industries is an Exclusive Distributor of Emirates
Steel in State of Qatar.
Since the establishment in 2009, Khalifa Steel Industries WLL has grown to become a forward-thinking, client-focused supplier of quality
products sourced from around the world. Early projects included supplying steel reinforcement and building material products to the
construction projects and various high and low-rise housing community development projects in Qatar.
In 2010 up to January 31, 2014 our major achievement was the Award of Authorized Distributorship License from Qatar Steel Co.
Within the next two years we crossed another major milestone by establishing our Steel Processing Plant for manufacturing Welded
Reinforcement Wire Mesh, Deformed Wire Rod in Coils and Cut & Bend facility in New Industrial Area and have since become the
biggest single manufacturer of Welded Reinforcement Wire Mesh and Deformed Wire Rod in Coils in State of Qatar.
Presently, Khalifa Steel Industries has established its client base not only in private, but in major government projects, commercial and
industrial developments as well. With hundreds of projects completed and satisfaction from clients, the company has gained strong
reputation for quality and reliability.

Goals
This policy shows:
▪ the commitment of Khalifa Steel Industries’ management and workers to health and safety
▪ aims to eliminate or reduce the risks to the health, safety and welfare of all workers, contractors and visitors, and anyone else who may
be affected by our production operations
▪ aims to ensure all work activities are done safely.
Responsibilities
Management, supervisors, Quality Control & Quality Assurance department and the designated Health & Safety Officers are responsible for
providing and maintaining:
▪ a safe working environment
▪ safe systems of work
▪ plant and substances in safe condition
▪ facilities for the welfare of all workers
▪ any information, instruction, training and supervision needed to make sure that all workers are safe from injury and risks to their health
▪ a commitment to continually improve our performance through effective safety management
Workers are responsible for:
▪ ensuring their own personal health and safety, and that of others in the workplace
▪ complying with any reasonable directions (such as safe work procedures, wearing personal protective equipment) provided by
management for health and safety
Each worker has an obligation to:
▪ comply with safe work practices, with the intent of avoiding injury to themselves and others and damage to plant and equipment
▪ take reasonable care of the health and safety of themselves and others
▪ wear personal protective equipment and clothing where necessary
▪ comply with any direction given by management for health and safety
▪ not misuse or interfere with anything provided for health and safety
▪ report all accidents and incidents on the job immediately, no matter how trivial
▪ report all known or observed hazards to their supervisor or manager.
Visitors:
In order to ensure health and safety at Khalifa Steel Industries, we seek visitors to comply with this policy and the procedures.
We expect visitors to our company premises to:
▪ All visitors to our facilities must sign in and out according to the prescribed register at the entrance gate.
▪ All non-associates on company property must be issued a pass by the appropriate administrative personel or receptionist. Passes shall be
properly dated and designated as "Visitor" and should be returned to the issuing party when signing out.
Obligations
Management is firmly committed to a policy enabling all work activities to be carried out safely, and with all possible measures taken to
remove (or at least reduce) risks to the health, safety and welfare of workers, contractors, authorised visitors, and anyone else who may be
affected by our operations.
We are committed to comply with the Labour Act No. 3 of 1962 of Qatar, namely chapter 9 on “safety, health and welfare of workers”,
Part on “safety, vocational health and social care” of Qatar Labour Law of 2005 and applicable international codes of practice as far as
possible.
Application of this policy
We seek the co-operation of all workers, customers and visitors. We encourage suggestions for realising our health and safety objectives to
create a safe working environment with a zero accident rate.
This policy applies to all business operations and functions, including those situations where workers are required to work off-site.

1.8.1 | CORPORATE ETHICS POLICY
The business philosophy of Khalifa Steel Industries (KSI) has been developed around a core set of values which are fundamental to the organization’s
development and success. One of these values is Integrity, which means we can always be trusted to do the right thing, and the KSI’s ethics code sets out
how we expect all our employees to behave in order to live this core value.
Bribery and corruption
Khalifa Steel Industries is resolutely opposed to bribery and corruption in whatever form it may be.
Any payments, gifts or inducements made by or on behalf of KSI and which induce or are intended to induce someone to act improperly and payments,
gifts or inducements to public officials to influence them in the performance of their duty (other than payments, fees etc., which they are entitled to
demand by written law) are matters which are likely to result in disciplinary action, including summary dismissal, against employees concerned.
Gifts or entertainment may only be offered to a third party if they are consistent with customary business practice in the relevant territory, are modest in
value and cannot be interpreted as inducements to trade. Where there is any doubt, guidance should be sought from the management and the relevant
regulations and government laws.
Sales of the KSI’s services and products and purchases of products and services from suppliers will be made solely on the basis of quality, performance,
price, value and/or for the benefit of the KSI, and never on the basis of giving or receiving inducements in the form of payments, gifts, entertainment or
favors or in any other form. The Commercial Sponsorship Policy provides additional guidance to managers on this subject.
Employees should not accept gifts, money or entertainment from third party organizations or individuals where these might reasonably be considered
likely to influence business transactions. Gifts, other than trivial ones with a low value, should be returned. In a culture where such an action might cause
offence, the gift should be declared to the company and, if practical, donated to an appropriate charity.
Competition
KSI will always compete vigorously, but in a fair and ethical way. Competitive success is built on providing good value and service excellence. Competitors
should not be disparaged.
When in contact with competitors, employees will avoid discussing confidential information and no attempt will be made to improperly acquire
competitors’ trade secrets or any other confidential information. Employees must not publicize, discuss or share with competitors (even indirectly)
pricing strategies or undertake any arrangements or practices which would conflict with the laws applicable to the business concerned.
Compliance with the law
KSI will comply fully with all relevant national and international laws and will act in accordance with local guidelines and regulations, including those
which are industry specific, governing our operations.
It is the responsibility of all managers to ensure, by taking legal or other expert advice where appropriate, that they are aware of all local laws and
regulations which may affect the area of the business in which they are engaged, including tax and exchange controls.
Accounting standards and records
All accounting documentation must clearly identify the true nature of business transactions, assets and liabilities in conformity with relevant regulatory,
accounting and legal requirements. No record or entry may be false, distorted, incomplete or suppressed.
All KSI reporting must be accurate and complete and in compliance in all material respects with accounting policies and procedures. Employees must not
materially mis-state or knowingly misrepresent management information for personal gain or for any other reason.
Social networking
Employees who engage in social networking on websites or in groups which show any association with, or make reference to, KSI are expected to behave
in ways that are consistent with KSI values and policies. Employees must therefore ensure that the company is not exposed to legal or reputational risks
and the safety and security of employees, customers and the general public are not undermined.

1.9.5 | Green Approach
Khalifa Steel Industries conducts its business with respect and consideration for the environment. We strive actively to reduce
the KSI’s overall impact on the environment by targeting annual reductions in our carbon intensity and the management of
waste, water, vehicle emissions and energy consumption. Paper Waste Optimization Program Iron Oxide Powder recycling
programs are in place, thus contributing to minimal impact of KSI on the local environment.
