General Information & Sale Notes ARRIVAL - All sheep must be in the market not later than 9.00 am on the morning of the sale. Sheep may be delivered on Thursday evening after 7.30pm. They are left overnight in the market at the risk of the vendor. MOVEMENT LICENCES - All vendors must hand in a completed General Movement Licence and a current Sheep & Goat Health Scheme certificate. The market holding number is 89/718/8008-01. Intending purchasers should have their CPH number ready to complete the correct movement license before departure from the market. INSPECTION - All sheep will be inspected by the Society's Official Inspector before being allowed forward for sale. All sheep must have been paint branded with their lot number prior to arrival in the market. METHOD OF SALE - All sheep will be sold in guineas. CONDITIONS OF SALE - All sheep will be sold subject to the Conditions of Sale of the British Charollais Sheep Society and to the Auctioneer's General Conditions of Sale, which are shown on the following pages. PEDIGREE CERTIFICATES - Pedigree certificates relating to the sale will be available from the Auctioneer's office on the day of the sale. All female sheep entered into the sale are Full Pedigree Status. Rams that have Full Pedigree Status are marked as such in the catalogue - all others are Birth Notified only. SCRAPIE GENOTYPE RESULTS - Whilst the Society will make all possible effort to provide purchasers with the correct information, they can in no way be held responsible for any error or ommission of information. MAEDI VISNA - All sheep are from Maedi Visna Accredited flocks. Prospective purchasers wishing to join the scheme should consult the Sheep & Goat Health Schemes, P.O. Box 5557, Inverness, IV2 4YT. Tel: 01463 226995 before the arrival of sheep onto their premises. BIOSECURITY - Intending purchasers are requested to have livestock vehicles cleansed and disinfected. Vendors will be required to wash out their livestock vehicles after unloading. SUBSTITUTE ENTRIES - Details of substitute entries will be available on sale day. Any such sheep will be -marked with a red dot next to their lot number. All substitutions must be made to the BCSS office by 12 noon Thursday 18th September. TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE - Are as displayed on entry to auction ring and can be downloaded from www.uagroup.co.uk or are available in hardcopy from market office. PAYMENT DUE ON DAY OF PURCHASE - Interest chargeable from date of purchase at 8% over bank of Scotland base rate. Purchases shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of Scotland and the non-exclusive jurisdiction of Glasgow Sheriff Court is prorogated to this contract.
