TECHNICAL
INFORMATION
Maintained Strength
Natural Transmission of Force
The BIOFOAM® matrix imparts a compressive strength
between cortical and cancellous bone, providing both
flexibility and the ability to minimize deformation under
dynamic loading conditions.
The compressive modulus of the BIOFOAM® matrix is
close to that of cancellous bone, allowing the natural
transfer of dynamic loading forces away from the implant
to the surrounding bone.

• Maintained Strength
Constructed of commercially pure titanium,
BIOFOAM® CANCELLOUS TITANIUM™ material
maintains its strength throughout the bone
remodeling process.
• Sustainable Rigid Fixation
High coefficient of friction provides a
stable environment for rapid integration.*
• Precise and Reliable Correction
Wedges available in 2 styles and 15 sizes
to provide reliable and precise correction
of flatfoot deformities.
• Extensive Bone Ingrowth
Porosity of the osteoconductive matrix (up to 70%)
allows for rapid integration of bone.
• Specific and Sterile
Specifically designed for Evans and Cotton
osteotomies, the sterile wedges eliminate the risk
of an adverse immune response associated with
traditional allografts.

Porosity for Extensive Bone Ingrowth
BIOFOAM® wedges have a high surface coefficient
of friction that provides initial stability at the interface
between the implant and bone, minimizing micromotion and creating a stable enviroment for bony ingrowth

The BIOFOAM® matrix provides up to 70% porosity with
fully interconnected pores for the optimum balance
between space for bone ingrowth and supportive
strength.
