PRESENTATIONS

This Mindflight theme integrates biology and computer technologies. Students will
create their Web pages using the data and digital images collected in the field.
They will explore several local areas rich in biological diversity. Students will learn
about the ecology of the area by collecting data and completing research and while
in the field they will learn different techniques used to study the local biodiversity.
All student projects will be published on the Web and
presented to parents and peers on the afternoon of
Friday, July 8UI, 2014.
FACILITIES
Among the PSU facilities that will be utilized in
Mindflight are the state-of-the-art computer laboratories, the Silver Cultural Arts Center, art studios,
Boyd Science Center, Environmental Science labs,
Lamson Library, graphic design computer lab,

Multimedia madness is an introduction to the techniques of stop-motion animation
as a tool for self expression. Participants learn to work collaboratively to make short
animated stories using traditional media and digital technologies including found
objects, claymation, hand drawing, photography and computers to create
delightful and informative moving images.
ACTING, ACROBATICS AND ABSOLUTE THEATRE!
Break the boundaries and popular assumptions of what theatre is in our everyday
life! Students will explore physical theatre styles including mask performance, basic
acrobatics and play-making. During this program our participants will collaborate
with each other in creating a new and exciting piece of theatre!
Hartman Student Union Building and the
recreational facilities of the PSU Field House.
Students will be housed in a University residence hall
with counselors.
STAFF
The teachers and counselors are highly qualified
and committed individuals drawn primarily from
PSU faculty and students and teachers from New
Hampshire schools.
FEES AND FINANCIAL AID
The 6 day, 5 night program includes: room, meals,
instruction, materials and all activities.
In addition to the $25 application fee, the cost is
$575. A limited amount of need-based financial aid
may be available. Students who wish to apply for
f inancial aid must complete the f inancial aid
application.

Students participating in Video Ventures will work in small teams to create short but
potent video sequences. This Mindflight theme focuses on visual story telling and
integrates creative writing with the various techniques involved in planning, shooting
and editing for video. Students will receive instruction in the conceptual and
technological tools needed to employ video as an expressive medium and learn a
variety of camera and editing techniques to convey their stories.
