THE CITY OF STREET JAMES JUNE 30TH 1936
BY THE STREET JAMES MEMORIAL COMMITTEE.
DUE TO THE EXEMPLARY WORKMANSHIP IT SERVED THE
CITIZENS OF THIS COMMUNITY FOR OVER HALF A CENTURY
THE NEW CENOTAPH WAS BUILT WITH FUNDING FROM
THE STREET JAMES BRANCH #4 ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION
IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE CITY OF WINNIPEG
STREET JAMES ASSINIBOIA PARKS AND RECREATION BRANCH

REMOVED FROM FRANCE IN 1924 AND RE ERECTED HERE BY THE MEMBERS OF THE
44TH BATTALION ASSOCIATION AND THE NEXT OF KIN JUNE 1926.
