HOW TO CREATE & MODIFY A USER ACCOUNT IN MYPORTAL
INTRODUCTION
General Managers and Owners can create a MyPortal account for any of your team members, including the
housekeeping manager, front desk associate, reservations associate, etc. With a MyPortal account, a user can access
Smith Travel (STAR) reports, online guest reviews, online procurement and discounts, online training and much more;
and you can control what tools and reports the user has access to during the set up process.

To begin:
Log into MyPortal: http://myportal.wyn.com
From the Homepage:
1. Click Tools > Account Administration
2. Click “Create Hotel Staff”

ENTER ACCOUNT INFORMATION
(1) Enter the individual’s first and last name
(2) Click the Continue button
Please note; if an account with the same user name is found, you will be prompted with a “Potential Duplicate users
found” message. You can either select the existing user to modify or click Create New User to create a new account.

(3) Once clicking Create a New User, enter your user’s preferred email address and confirm this address.
Please note if the email addresses do not match, when you click Create (located at the bottom of the
screen), you will be prompted to make the correction.
ADD PROPERTIES TO USER ACCOUNT
(1) Select the properties to add to the user’s account
(2) Click Add Selected Properties

ASSIGN USER JOB CATEGORY AND TITLE
You can assign the user a job title from MyPortal that most closely matches their role at the hotel, i.e. housekeeping
manager, front desk associates, reservations associate, etc... You can also assign multiple job titles to the user.

Click on the property
Click on a job category matching the user’s department
Click on a job title that most closely matches the user’s job category
Click Add to move the information to the column on the right under Assigned Job Titles@Property
Click Populate Responsibilities (next page)

CONFIRM OR ADD ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILTIES
(1) Highlight responsibility and
(2) Click Add to assign access to tools and information that help the user perform the tasks they are responsible for,
such as Monthly STAR reports, WynSource, WynPay, and WynReview. If you would like more information about
the available responsibilities, please click the Helpful Tips link. Any responsibilities that are added will appear at
the bottom of the Assigned Responsibilities list on the right highlighted in green.
(3) Once you have completed assigned responsibilities, click Create.

CONFIRM USER ACCOUNT INFORMATION IS CORRECT:
(1) Review user information for accuracy. If changes are necessary, click Edit.
(2) Once correct, click Confirm to create the account.
NEW ACCOUNT SUMMARY:
(1) Once you receive confirmation that the account was created successfully, you can print the account details or
return to the Main Menu.

MODIFY USER ACCOUNT
The primary function is to assist users by resetting passwords, reactivating a user account, viewing email address,
site associating and responsibilities.
(1) To modify a user’s account, click Modify Hotel Staff
SEARCH FOR USER ACCOUNT
(1) You can search for a user account by first name, last name, User ID or Site #/Property ID.
(2) Click the Search button.

SEARCH RESULTS
(1) Select a user that you would like to modify by clicking Select under the Actions column.
(2) If you do not see the user you are looking for on this page, please click on subsequent page numbers to continue
your search. The page number that you are currently on will appear in green.
Please note; you also have the option to Delete, Reactivate, or Reset a Password from this page.

USER PROFILE INFORMATION
(1) Once selecting a record, you can modify a user’s preferred email address.
PROPERTY SELECTION (ADD OR REMOVE PROPERTIES)
(1) This section is used to add a property to a user’s account.
(2) To add a property, select it from the list of Properties Found section and click on the Add Selected Properties
button.

(3) To remove a property from a user’s account, select the property that appears under Assigned Job
Titles@Property and click on the Remove button.
ADD/CHANGE USER JOB CATEGORY AND TITLE
You can add or change the job title for a user from MyPortal that most closely matches their role at the hotel, i.e.
housekeeping manager, front desk associates, reservations associate, etc... You can also assign multiple job titles to the
user.

ADD OR REMOVE RESPONSIBILITIES
(1) Highlight responsibility and
(2) Click Add to assign any additional access which will help the user complete their job responsibilities, such as
Monthly STAR reports, WynSource, WynPay, and WynReview. If you would like more information about the
available responsibilities, please click the Helpful Tips link. Any responsibilities that are added will appear at the
bottom of the Assigned Responsibilities list on the right highlighted in green.
(3) To remove a responsibility, select it and click Remove. Any responsibilities that are removed will appear under
the Available Responsibilities list on the left highlighted in red.
(4) When you are finished modifying the user account click Save.
