How to Identify and Avoid Financing Pitfalls
Learn about issues developers face once an affordable rental housing property
begins operating. Panelists will discuss a variety of issues such as operating
expenses and deferred development fees. The discussion will also address
the difference between grants and “true debt,” and how this debt should be
structured.
Understand the changes proposed to the Internal Revenue Service’s draft audit
technique guide (ATG) for the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit program. The
long awaited, and much anticipated, draft ATG represents the first substantial
update since 1999 and changes to the ATG are expected to affect how the LIHTC
community approaches property compliance for years to come.
