In 1998, Raffaele Aiello recognised
his passion for quality in the
construction industry and
founded Casello Constructions –
the predecessor to ABD Group.
His expanding company, together with successful projects and repeat
clients led Raffaele to commence ABD Group in February 2006.
The Group has since developed into a thriving medium to large size
builder completing in excess of 390 construction projects all
of which have had a hands-on approach by Raffaele.
Each project is valued up to $60m and includes Commercial,
Industrial, Residential and Multi-Residential projects. This level
of success in delivering large numbers of projects demonstrates
ABD Group’s ability to deliver.

ABD has the capabilities to apply green building and sustainable
building practices using design and planning processes that
are environmentally responsible and resource efficient.
ABD Group uses waste management companies that recycle
up to 85% of site material. A report is provided to ABD giving
statistics on its management performance.
The use of sustainable building materials is one of ABD Group’s
solutions to a greener environment. Some materials include
glass-fibre composites and engineered wood-laminated
beams. These materials have a low-embodied energy
resulting in a low carbon foot-print compared to current
building materials. ABD is looking into the future and has
the capabilities to differentiate itself from other builders.

The design and construct of The Albert consists of a ground plus
four level building with 150 apartments. The building surrounds
a serene communal garden while a landscaped area, exclusive
to residents, incorporates over-arching trees and sculptured
timber benches. The layered and textured facade delivers a
warm palette of colours and this timeless scheme makes
The Albert fit in with the neighbourhood. Minimal yet appealing,
the geometric compositions that feature around the apartment
balconies and windows are unique to the building while the
ground floor facing Albert Street is enjoyed by retail tenants.

Solstice is a new, vibrant, active and visually stunning addition to the
Camberwell Road landscape. Designed and constructed by ABD Group,
the building includes ground floor tenancies plus three levels consisting
of 106 apartments with a two level basement carpark. Solstice has been
created to make the most of what the environment has to aesthetically
offer. Energy-efficient water fixtures, fittings and lighting, centralised
domestic gas hot water boosted with solar panels, plus rain and storm
water harvesting tanks are all included. Passive thermal heating, exploiting
the virtues of natural light and harnessing the benefits of natural ventilation,
combine to give every apartment a minimum average six star energy rating.

Featuring a series of one and two bedroom options with individual parking and
storage facilities, C3 Apartments incorporates world class technology and sustainable
design elements to offer a sophisticated inner city lifestyle. The design and construct
project consists of four ground tenancies plus six-level building with 100 apartments
and two-level car park. The building design fuses Brunswick’s local character by
employing heavily articulated hard and tough materials, contrasted with the use
of coloured glass panels as balustrades to selected apartments. The design links
two seven-story buildings by a central laneway and the construction will exceed
Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD) requirements and achieve an
independent rating equivalent to “Australian Best Practice”.

outdoor living areas complimented with polished timber floors,
stone bench tops and European high quality fittings.

This design and build project consists of a basement car park, two ground
floor tenancies with 15 levels of 83 luxury apartments and a communal roof-top
deck. The unique two-storey apartments feature an impressive ensemble of
spacious, light filled living spaces complemented by a host of high quality
appointments including timber flooring, stainless steel European appliances
and air-conditioning. The one, two and three bedroom apartments have been
stylishly designed and are characterised by an edgy aesthetic with clean lines,
high quality finishes and spectacular views. Duo occupies a premium Spencer
Street location on the edge of Melbourne’s CBD and the building’s external
motif reflects the industrial heritage of the local area.
