MB - Make Bobble: (Made from WS of scarf)
(K1, YO, K1, YO, K1) in 1 stitch, drop st from needle, turn, K5, turn, P5, turn, *pass second st on RH needle over
first st* 4 times. 1 st left on RH needle. Turn. (1 Bobble complete)
2/2 RC - 2/2 Right crossing cable
Slip next 2 stitches to cable needle and place at back of work, k2, then k2 from cable needle.
2/2 LC - 2/2 Left crossing cable
Slip next 2 stitches to cable needle and place at front of work, k2, then k2 from cable needle.
2/1 RPC - 2/1 Right crossing purl cable

Scarf:
CO 47 using Tubular Cast On. (See video link on pg. 2)
(RS) Row 1: K1, *Sl st pwise wyif, yib, K1* to end of row.
Row 2: *Sl st pwise wyif, yib, K1* to 1 st from end of row, K1.
Row 3: Sl st pwise wyif, *P1, K1* to end of row.
Row 4: Sl st pwise wyif, yib, K1, *P1, K1* to 1 st from end of row, K1.
Rows 5-12: Rep rows 3 & 4.
Switch to size US #6 (4.5mm) needles.
(RS) Make a Lateral Braid (See video link on pg. 2):
Sl first st pwise onto RH needle, yib, place st back onto the LH needle, ktbl of second st on needle and place this
st onto the end of needle (1 st increased). *ktbl of second st on needle, do not drop st off of needle, K first st, drop
both stitches off of needle. Slip pwise the stitch from the RH needle back onto the LH needle,* Rep. bet * and * to
last st, K2tog tbl.
Switch back to size US #10 (6mm) needles.
NOTE: Slip first stitch of every row as indicated in chart.
(WS) Work rows 1-36 of Chart a total of 8 times. (288 rows)
(WS) Work rows 1-21 of chart once. (20 rows)
Switch to size US #6 (4.5mm) needles.
(RS) Make a Lateral Braid (See video link on pg. 2):
Sl first st pwise onto RH needle, yib, place st back onto the LH needle, ktbl of second st on needle and place this

Hood: (Using size US #10 needles)
With RS facing, locate the very center of the scarf, (this should be a row 11 repeat of the chart) follow this row
accross the scarf to the first stitch of the row, count 36 slipped stitches to the right of this stitch, mark this stitch.
Beginning with the marked stitch, PU and knit in the next 72 slipped st along the side of the scarf. (72 st)
NOTE: Do NOT slip the first stitch of each row.
(WS) Row 1: P6, *K1, P1* 30x, P6.
Row 2: K2, 2/2 LC, *K1, P1* 30x, 2/2 RC, K2.
Row 3: P6, *P1, K1* 30x, P6.
Row 4: 2/2 RC, K2, *P1, K1* 30x, K2, 2/2 LC.
Row 5-57: Work rows 1-4 a total of 14 times (56 rows) OR for approx. 12” from picked up stitches.
Seam Hood:
Fold the hood RS facing, place 36 st on each of two needles. Work a 3-needle BO. (Hood should measure approx.
12” X 23” (seamed). Weave in tail and turn hood rightside out.
Finishing:
Weave in all ends and block scarf to finished dimensions. (see pg. 2) To block hood, lay it over a balloon, large
bowl or balled up towel.
Let piece air dry completely. (At least 24 hrs)
