A. Sa-Mudra Yuva Helpline (080- 23463287 & 9743104551)
SA-MUDRA pioneered and evolved the concept
September 2008.
Yuvahelpline since its inception - 14th
Yuvahelpline offers an effective way to provide callers with accurate information, counseling,
and referrals to appropriate need based services or resources. The
changing trends in modern society and families leaves the youth
confused, directionless, depressed and helpless and this is addressed
through anonymity by a professional counselor.
The anonymity aspect is key here, especially in working with youth,
because it allows the caller to ask questions that may be difficult or
awkward to address in a face-to-face context, especially in situations
where they have no one to turn to.
Prevailing situation is also triggering fatal addictions among youth may
it be to drugs, alcohol, smoking, electronic gadgets etc., which
contributes to increasing rate in school/ college dropout besides
driving them to adopt easy, illegal ways of survival.
Sa-Mudra Yuva Helpline Objective:
To be the first friend to ‘talk to’ in times of crisis
Provide telephonic counseling to the caller
Appropriate and timely support by prompting a dialogue
Offer quick and easy information, referrals
Identify trends in information requests from users

B. Sa-Mudra Personality Development Program:
Based on the feedback received from YUVA HELPLINE it was realized that that youth and
adolescent problems wee not only very individualistic but some of them could be overcome
through proper counseling and most of them were due to lack of certain personality traits in an
individual which could be well corrected though proper guidance . In addition it was also realized
that the present day youth were not able to decide on the career of their choice and some of

them dropped out due to lack of interest and motivation to pursue higher education either due to
unwanted pressure from the parents or due to wrong career guidance. This was seen as a
potential revenue generating activity which had ample potential to for the organization to be self
sustainable and at the same time.

New horizons for Sa-muadra in personality Development:
Personality Development of youth which has been of the main focus of Sa-maudra till date was
mainly concentrating at preparing the students to meet the challenges of work place or to be
precise meeting at the needs of employer and improve the employability of the student. Of late it
has been realized that due to challenging and fast paced skill changes in job requirements a
degree self awareness and self realization is required which brings out the hidden talents which
modern day psychological tests. The focus is to make the student realize what he is good at
work on his strengths rather than concentrate on improving his weakness which most of the
PDP courses. This augers well with the present day concept of working smartly rather than
working hard. Sa-mudra is redesigning its courses to meet these new challenges in professional
development and has tied up a London based school of Personality development. The details of
the new program are being worked out and will be announced shortly
C: Sa-Mudra MVET Program
Sa-mudra’s youth empowerment activities will be incomplete if the youth who have been
marginalized in society due to reasons beyond their control and left them out. SA-MUDRA
enables unemployed youth from economically weaker sections of society to avail employment
oriented skill training and get employed with a steady job by providing a vocational training and
social transformation program for the under-privileged youth. Sa-muda MVET program is
designed for this purpose
The training is offered „free of cost‟ to the youth. SA-MUDRA bears all expenses Such as
training materials, training costs, industrial visit etc.,
In addition to imparting vocational skills, sa-mudra trains the youth in life skills, Communication
skills, spoken English and basic computer usage skills with a special attention is in inculcating
personal and community values among youth.
WHY THIS INITIATIVE?
Our country needs inclusive growth – The underprivileged and deprived sections of our society
need to go miles before integrating with the mainstream. This is not possible only through
gainful employment. Youth belonging to these sections need to be groomed to get acceptability.
This happens through acquiring better soft skills, life skills, presentation skills, language skills,
and general awareness of use of technology and value systems. It changes the profile of the
youth enabling them to join the mainstream, along with a stable and sustainable income.
At SA-MUDRA, we make youth „empowered‟, translate them to be „employable‟ in all
respects, in line with the current day requirements of the job market.
Training helps youth to become:
1. Office admin - Support staff
2. Automobile Retail sales – support staff
3. Insurance & Retail - Junior level support staff
