including Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, and the UAE.

rhythmic skating. Aisha did superbly in the competition,
earning 3 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 1 bronze medal.
Congratulations Aisha!
Campus Principal Absence
Apologies to the whole School community, but when accepting the invitation to work
at Tenby SEP in April, the Campus Principal already had family commitments which
require him to be back in England from 19th July. Jane Kuok will resume Acting
Principal duties for the last week of term, and together with the Senior Leadership
Team bring the School term to a close. The Campus Principal will stay in contact
with the School by e-mail, and telephone, and return to Malaysia on Wednesday 13th
August to welcome new Staff and prepare for the new Term.
Kind regards,
Andrew Auster

More Great Work from the TIS Primary Student Council
We have already reported some of the incredible initiatives our Student Council have
implemented this year and we are delighted to report on yet another one! At their
meeting last week, our councillors were keen to continue to help our younger TIS
Primary children. Having shared ideas, they decided on early morning reading. All
councillors who arrive by 07:30hrs have volunteered to read to our KS1 children in
the servery area. Congratulations Student Councillors on yet another great service
to the TIS Primary community.
Primary Class Parties
The end of year class parties will take place on the last day of term, Friday 25th July.
The party will focus on fun and games, with some classes planning the event for
themselves (for example, a Cinema Party). The party time is short, on a very busy
half day, so to avoid the waste seen at previous class parties and to ensure children
have maximum ‘fun and games’ time, we would like children to only to bring food for
themselves, not the entire class. Children may bring in a snack and drink of their
choice. The children will have lots of fun and the chance to say happy holidays or
farewell to their friends. We thank you for your understanding of this matter.
Change in School Day Timings for Early Years from August 2014
Please note the start and end times of the school day which take effect in the new school

‘Preloved Book & Uniform’
Based on parents' requests, TIS PA has taken the initiative to setup a platform for
the school's community to trade (sell/buy/give away) preloved items such as books
and uniform. We have created a closed Facebook group called TIS-SEP
Preloved. https://www.facebook.com/groups/tisseppreloved/
This is the group's description:
Tenby International School Setia Eco Park Preloved Book and Uniform
Mums and Dads, here's where you can trade (sell, buy or give away) your children’s
school preloved items such as books and uniforms.
The group is an initiative of TIS PA and will be moderated by us. Parents may post
your school items for trade, arrange transaction details and point of collection among
yourselves.
This is not a platform to provide feedback pertaining to school operations. In the
event that this should happen, we would route you over to the school for feedback
through the existing escalation procedure.
This group is only meant for current parents of TIS. It is not associated in any way
to the leadership or teaching staff of TIS.
HOW TO JOIN THIS GROUP?
1. Go to Facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/tisseppreloved/
2. Make a request to join this group.
3. Send an email to [email protected] informing us of your request, with
mention of your child's name and class (so we may only allow parents of TIS to join
this group).
4. Once verified, we will approve your request on Facebook.
Please note that there are some revisions to next year’s book list which will be
published to parents at the end of term. Therefore, some books will no longer be in
use next year.
