We are pleased to invite you to attend to 38th Chess Talents
Tournaments (CTT) where we traditionally try to ensure the top
chess, sports and social level.

POBESKYDÍ OPEN
The tournament is without exaggeration considered as the
flagship of the tournaments organized by the Beskydská šachová
škola. Therefore we would like to introduce the series of
tournaments which will be submitted for FIDE rating –
tournaments for children under 9, 12 and 15 years, Pobeskydí
Open.
Former participants of the tournament:
Radjabov T., Movsesian S., Navara D., Azarov S., Howell D., Socko
M., Zhukova N., Jacková J., Němcová K. and other players from
25 countries
We would also like to draw your attention to manifold
accompanying program in which will be an afternoon children´s
program prepared including performances, simultaneous games
and others.

System:
 90 minutes per game + 30 seconds per move
 waiting time is 1 hour for all CTT tournaments
 8 rounds, Swiss system, results will be submitted for FIDE
rating providing that at least 30% of FIDE ELO players are
participating
Ranking: points, middle Buchholz, Buchholz, progress, more
games with black, lot
Time schedule: opening ceremony at 9:00 in the main hall

Prize fund CTT: CZK 30 000
- prizes for the first 5 children born 2010 and younger in U9
- prizes for the first 5 boys from each category
- prizes for the first 3 girls from each category
- prizes lottery
- prizes are only for the players participating in closing ceremony.
Team competition: The group consisting of 4-5 players (even
from one category). The group can consist of players from one
town, region or state. The head of the group must submit the list
of players before 4th round.
Entry fee: CZK 500 per participant for all categories,
Player registered before 17. 3. 2017 discount CZK 100

- CZK 500 on accommodation offered by the organizer for
medalists in current national classical chess championships

 For pairing (players sorted by ELO) the first third of players
gets two imaginary points (IP) and the second third gets one
IP. From 3rd round half IP per round is removed, after 6th round
all IPs are removed.
