I’m delighted to join you in saluting Louise and Lawrence Green as recipients of the 2014 Chesed Award. Their generous contributions and participation help make possible the Chai Center’s outstanding service to our community through its network of outreach centers, providing a wide variety of educational and social service programs to individuals and families in our region. The Chai Center remains committed to an “open-door” policy that admits and assists all those in need, regardless of background, affiliation, or ability to pay. Again, I want to congratulate them on their honors, and express my continued support and admiration for the great work done by The Chai Center and for its ongoing contributions to the health and vitality of the Los Angeles Jewish community.
