Today's Focus: WALKING IN FINANCIAL FORTUNE God's intention for man is to live in supernatural abundance. Gen.2:10-12. However, there are certain responsibilities man must engage in to enjoy true financial prosperity as designed by God. Prayer and fasting has been proven to be a veritable, indisputable and indispensible tool to achieving breakthrough in the kingdom. THE PLACE OF PRAYER IN GETTING FINANCIAL FORTUNE 1. It provokes outbreak of revelation about the covenant of prosperity. This revelation makes one to have mastery over the affairs of life. Is.58:6-8;60:1, Jn.6:6. 2. It engenders access to grace for tireless adherence to the Kingdom demands of financial prosperity. Rom.9:16, 2 Cor.8:1. 3. It destroys the horns of the wicked on our path of financial fortune. Zec.1:17-20, Job 42:10. While prayer and fasting is important to achieving financial prosperity, there is also a covenant of giving, instituted by God that makes a man to enjoy financial prosperity speedily and effectively. THE COVENANT OF FINANCIAL FORTUNE The covenant of prosperity is the giving covenant clearly stated in Gen.8:20-22, Luke 6:38. The cost of financial prosperity is giving. There is no shortcut to it, if it is financial prosperity, it must be by engaging in effective giving. Giving is the anchor law that empowers for financial prosperity. Matt.19:16-22. This refers to seed sown. However, such seeds must be sown on fertile soil. The platform to make the soil fertile is Tithing. This is the key gateway to financial fortune. Mal.3:8-10. Tithing nourishes the soil for proper seed sowing. Jesus validated tithing. Matt.23:23. OTHER COVENANT GIVING CHANNELS 1. Worship Offering. Mark 12:41-44, Ex.24:20, Deut. 16:16. 2. Kingdom-promotion giving. Haggai 1:3-9, Zec.1:17. 3. Engage in sacrificial giving. Ps.126:6, Ps.50:5-6. 4. Giving to parents. Gen.27. 5. Giving to the poor. Prov.28:7. 6. Giving to the prophet of God. 2 Chr. 20:20, Matt.6:21, 2 kings 4:12. To be a true giver and enjoy the blessings of giving, thereby walking in financial fortune, one must be a lover of God. If giving is not made from a heart of true love for God, it profiteth nothing. 1 Cor.13:3,2 Cor.8:8. If you want your level of finance to change, you must change your level of giving.
