Who are we, Lord God, that you should come to us? Yet you have visited your people and redeemed us in your Son. As we prepare to celebrate his
birth, make our hearts leap for joy at the sound of your word, and move us by your Spirit to bless your wonderful works. We ask this through him
whose coming is certain, whose day draws near, your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,

Loving God, we give you thanks that you are always awake. We are grateful that you are always ready to hear and
answer our prayers. Today we confess that when you call out to us we are usually asleep. We miss your presence
because we are easily distracted. We miss your incarnate son because we would rather stay asleep than be active
through our faith. We miss your calling because of what it would cost us to follow. Hear our prayer and forgive us.
Help us come alive and be awake to the full possibility of your mercy, grace, and love. In the name of Christ. Amen.

five- to ten-minute intervals, 8:45 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.,

immediately behind the sanctuary/Jane Bell
Gathering Space.
- Childcare is available for children up to four
years old.
- Church School is offered at 9:30 a.m. for all ages.
- Refreshments are served in Carol Copeland
Courtyard or in Pickard Hall on Sundays at 10:30
a.m.
- The sanctuary has a loop hearing aid system and
an FM system.
