With the new DRU PowerVent® system a
beautiful gas ﬁre can now be positioned
virtually anywhere
With DRU’s new PowerVent® system you can now place a beautiful gas fire almost anywhere in
your home. Now much easier to fit because of the limited diameter of the flue ducts DRU gas fires
can be installed up to least 20 metres in length. The outdoors can be reached horizontally, vertically
or by means of numerous bends. You can even go through the restricted floor and wall spaces. This
flexible installation option enables almost any DRU gas fire to be placed any where in your home, or
in commercial locations such as a restaurants, hotels or showrooms.
The beneﬁts of PowerVent®
• An Ideal solution for terraced houses, apartments or other situations where it was previously
impossible to flue a DRU gas fire.
• The fire can be positioned in the middle of a room and the flue can be installed, for example, through
the wall or floor space.
• Inexpensive and an affordable solution to fluing problems.
• Flues can extend for 20 metres in any direction.
• Small flue duct diameter of just Ø 100mm allows for easier concealment.
• Compact Powerbox can be positioned on the outside wall or just below the roof, resulting on no noise.

How does it work ?
The system is based around the DRU PowerBox which can be fitted on the outside wall or just below
the roof eaves. Within this Powerbox there is a fan system which extracts the flue gases and also
provides the supply of fresh air required for combustion. A Venturi tube is placed just above the fire
and is connected to a control box which ensures that the system will work correctly with almost
every fire in the DRU range.
Please note!
• The PowerVent® system is only available from selected dealerships.
• The PowerVent® system is only suitable for DRU Balanced Flued gas fires which are equipped
with a double thermocouple, each rigorously tested to work with this system
(take a look at www.dru.nl/powervent for a list).
• A comprehensive installation manual is available for the PowerVent® system.
