 Personal Statement
As a teacher who values her students above all and who wants her students to thrive and meet their
unique potential, I have a wide range of teaching methods at my disposal. Because of my excellent
university degrees and my great theoretical and practical knowledge of modern foreign language
teaching I was able to serve as graduate research assistant for a research project commissioned by
the Institute for Educational Quality Improvement (IQB) to promote the implementation of competenceoriented teaching practices in Germany. I would love to work in an educational setting that facilitates
the holistic development of students. Contributing to the UWC’s wonderful educational mission as a
teacher would be a profound honor.
