Der Pustertaler Radweg
Der Pustertaler Radweg startet in der Ortschaft Mühlbach und durchquert das Pustertal bis
nach Lienz in Osttirol. Insgesamt sind es 105 km, die sich durch die malerische Landschaft entlang der Drau schlängeln und sich übrigens auch wunderbar mit der Bahn kombinieren lassen.

Landschaft, zählt der Naturpark RieserfernerAhrn zweifellos zu den schönsten Schutzgebieten der Provinz Südtirol. Auf einer Fläche
von 31.500 ha erstreckt er sich entlang des
Tauferer Ahrntals und umfasst im Süden die
Pustertaler Gemeinden Gais und Percha.
Auf aussichtsreichen Pfaden offenbart die
Natur dem Wanderfreund hier ihre schönsten
Schätze. Wie in Platten bei Percha etwa, wo
unzählige, schlanke Erdkegel in den Himmel
ragen und je nach Witterung und Tageszeit
ihre Farbe und mitunter auch ihre Erscheinung
ändern. Die Erdpyramiden von Percha sind
eines der beeindruckendsten Denkmäler der
heimischen Natur und lohnen auf jeden Fall

by mighty three thousand metre-plus summits
and waterfalls, the Rieserferner-Ahrn nature
reserve is without doubt one of the loveliest
conservation areas in the province of South
Tyrol. Covering 31,500 hectares, it stretches
along the Tauferer Ahrntal valley and in the
south includes the Puster Valley communities of
Gais and Percha.
Hikers can discover the loveliest treasures
that nature has to offer on paths that reveal
a multitude of magnificent views. Like in Platten
near Percha, for example, where countless
slender earth pillars reach up to the heavens
and vary their colours and sometimes their
appearance too depending on the weather
conditions and time of day. The earth pyramids of Percha are one of the most impressive
local natural monuments and are well worth a
detour to see!

Kultur und bewundern die Exponate im Römermuseum Mansio Sebatum, das die Siedlungsgeschichte bis in die Römer- und Eisenzeit zurückverfolgt.
„Geschichte zum Anfassen“ ist das Motto des
Volkskundemuseums in Dietenheim, das die
Besucher in den einstigen bäuerlichen Alltag
zurückversetzt. Das Brunecker Stadtmuseum
zeigt zeitgenössische und sakrale Kunstgegenstände, und neben dem weltweit einzigartigen Feuerwehrhelmmuseum in Gais ist
auch das Messner Mountain Museum RIPA

I musei locali offrono una visione interessante
del passato e delle tradizioni popolari dell’Alto
Adige. Chi è interessato alla storia può seguire
le tracce dell’arte artigianale e della cultura
della Val Pusteria e ammirare gli oggetti esposti
presso il museo dell’epoca romana Mansio
Sebatum, dove si “viaggia” nell’epoca remota
dei Romani e dell’età del ferro.
“Storia da toccare con mano” è lo slogan
del museo provinciale degli usi e costumi
di Teodone dove i visitatori ripercorrono la
vita della società rurale di un tempo. Il museo
civico di Brunico espone opere d’arte contemporanea e sacrale; a Gais invece si trova
il museo degli elmi dei vigili del fuoco, unico
al mondo del suo genere. Infine vale sicuramente la pena visitare il museo MMM RIPA
nel castello di Brunico …

History-lovers can discover the handicrafts and
culture of the Puster Valley and marvel at the
exhibits in the Roman museum Mansio Sebatum, which traces the history of settlement
back as far as Roman times and the Iron Age.
“History at your fingertips” is the motto of the
Museum of Folk Traditions in Dietenheim,
which transports visitors back in time to explore
the everyday lives of the rural population.
Bruneck’s Town Museum displays contemporary and sacred artistic objects, and together

In St. Lorenzen führt ein archäologischer Panoramaweg zu den Fundstellen römischer
Artefakte „Steine erzählen“ ist der Name
des Rundwegs, der von Pfalzen aus eine kulturgeschichtliche Reise in die Vergangenheit
unternimmt. Der Kulturweg Gais wird auf seinem Weg durch die anmutige Landschaft von
Andenken an bekannte Künstler und Literaten
flankiert, und von Bruneck nach Reischach
gelangt man über einen der wohl schönsten
Naturlehrpfade überhaupt.

I sentieri tematici sono un’occasione ideale
per entrare in contatto con la storia e la cultura
della Val Pusteria.
A San Lorenzo, un itinerario archeologico
porta ai punti in cui sono stati rinvenuti gli oggetti e resti di mura dell’era romana. “Le pietre
raccontano” è invece il nome del sentiero
che da Falzes permette di fare un viaggio nel
passato. Il sentiero culturale di Gais che attraversa un paesaggio suggestivo, è dedicato
alla memoria di noti artisti e scrittori che hanno
vissuto e operato a Gais. Infine, uno dei più
bei sentieri naturalistici in assoluto, conduce
da Brunico a Riscone.

Themed trails are an excellent way of getting
in touch with the history and culture of the
Puster Valley.
In St. Lorenzen, an archaeological trail leads
to the places where Roman artefacts were
discovered. “Steine erzählen” (Rocks Tell
All) is the name of the circular trail which takes
walkers on a cultural and historic journey into
the past starting in Pfalzen. The Gais Culture
Trail is flanked by monuments to famous artists
and literary figures as it wends its way through
the charming landscape, and the nature trail
from Bruneck to Reischach is probably one of
the most beautiful trails anywhere.

hearts’ content, bounce on the summit trampoline and conquer the climbing park summits.

molto tempo i confini della regione. La tanto
decantata cucina pusterese è ricca di tradizione e si distingue per i suoi piatti a base di

Uno degli ingredienti principali di molti piatti
creativi è la patata pusterese il cui gusto
inconfondibile viene esaltato nella rosticciata

since reached beyond their homeland. Traditional dishes prepared with fresh produce distinguish the much-praised Puster Valley cuisine.
The chief constituent of creative dishes is the
Puster Valley potato, whose unmistakeable
taste finds favour in the summer months especially, when hearty “Herrengeröstel” (veal &
potatoes), “Marillenknödel” (apricot dumplings)
and “Potato pasties” are served. Zesty mountain cheese, hearty bacon and the typical
“Bauernbreatl” (farmer’s bread) are all crucial parts of the traditional “Brettljause”, or
snack on a breadboard. The old recipe for

Füllung: Zwiebel und Knoblauch klein hacken,
Gemüse klein schneiden und andünsten.
Ripieno: Tritare finemente cipolla e aglio, tagliare a
pezzettini la verdura e rosolare il tutto.
Filling: Finely chop the onion and garlic,
chop and steam the vegetables.
Teig: Die geschälten Kartoffeln in Salzwasser
ca. 25 Min. kochen, durch die Kartoffelpresse
drücken, erkalten lassen und mit Eigelb, Butter,
Mehl, Salz und geriebener Muskatnuss verkneten.
Impasto: Pelare le patate, tagliarle a pezzi e cuocerle
in acqua salata per ca. 25 minuti, passarle nello schiacciapatate, lasciarle raffreddare. Impastarle insieme ai tuorli
d’uovo, burro, farina, sale e noce moscata grattugiata.
Dough: Peel and boil the potatoes in salted water for approx. 25 minutes, mash, allow to cool
and then knead into a dough together with the
egg yolks, butter, flour, salt and ground nutmeg.
Den Teig dünn ausrollen und ca. 7,5 cm große
runde Blätter ausstechen. Die Gemüsefüllung
auf die Blätter geben und halbmondförmig
zusammen falten, die Ränder andrücken.
Infine stendere l’impasto con il mattarello e ritagliare
dei cerchi del diametro di ca. 7,5 cm. Disporvi il ripieno
di verdure al centro, piegare i cerchi di pasta a forma
di mezzaluna e premere bene sui bordi.
Roll out the dough to a thickness of approx.
7,5 cm and cut out leaf shapes. Spoon the
vegetable filling onto the leaves and fold into
crescent shapes. Press down the edges firmly.
Für ca. 5 Min. in kochendes Salzwasser geben,
mit Rucola und Tomatenwürfel anrichten.
Cuocere le mezzelune in acqua bollente per ca. 5 min.,
scolarle e guarnirle con rucola e cubetti di pomodoro.
Boil in salted water for approx. 5 mins,
serve with rocket salad and diced tomatoes.

Sie zählt zweifelsohne zu den bekanntesten Vertretern der viel gerühmten kulinarischen Köstlichkeiten aus dem Pustertal:
die legendäre Pustertaler Kartoffel, hier
allgemein als „Erdepfl“ bekannt.
Das Erdepflfest am 10. September als
Auftakt des kulinarischen Reigens ist eine
hervorragende Gelegenheit, um sich
über Anbau, Sorten und Zubereitungsmöglichkeiten der Pustertaler Kartoffel zu
informieren.
Im Rahmen der Spezialitätenwochen
servieren die teilnehmenden Restaurants
und Gastbetriebe der Ferienregion traditionelle wie kreative Kartoffelgerichte.
Bei Schupfnudeln, Erdepflriebler und
anderen, teils schon kultverdächtigen
Kartoffelspezialitäten, lässt sich die

La festa delle patate che avrà luogo il
10 settembre e darà inizio alle settimane
gastronomiche è un’ottima occasione per
conoscere la coltivazione, le varietà e i modi
per cucinare la patata pusterese.
Nell’ambito delle settimane gastronomiche, i
ristoranti e alberghi dell’area vacanze aderenti
all’iniziativa, serviranno piatti tradizionali e
innovativi a base di patate.
Per esempio i gustosi gnocchetti affusolati di
patate “Schupfnudeln”, la frittata di patate

welcome the Italian premier league football
team Inter Milan for its Summer Training Camp.
After last year’s visit, during which the black &
blue shirted players found the conditions to
be ideal for training, the professional football team has decided to once again pitch
their tents in Reischach sports ground in 2016,
to prepare for the coming championships. For
all football fans who want to see their heroes
live in action, this is an opportunity not to be
missed!
