TRANSFORMER-LIFE-MANAGEMENT
CONFERENCE
About the Conference
Today the industry is confronted with a rising demand on cost optimization. Equipment life
time has to be extended while keeping the high reliability of all industrial facilities. This challenge is often combined with the necessity of resource and environment protection. Especially
electrical network operators have to deal with and solve the problems caused by the innovation in energy generation, all while keeping the energy flowing. Especially renewable energy is
supplied not only with different voltage levels, but particularly in different and hardly predictable time slots. Having big distances between the power generation and the end customer,
transformers are needed. They represent the heartbeat of an aging alternating current grid.
The annual Transformer Life Management Conference (TLM) is a gathering of experts, engineers, manufacturers and topic related exhibitors trying to improve the efficiency and reliability of our grids heartbeat.
The focus of the TLM conference is reliable transformer operation and maintenance. Topics
include test methods and interpretation, condition assessment, continuous monitoring and
asset management and insulation liquids as well as current developments in the energy sector as well as research and development. The knowledge will be conveyed by not only exhibitors but also operators who like to share their experience as well as researchers who will present the latest developments in diagnosis, monitoring and material research.
The goal of the conference is to provide the necessary information to optimize operation safety, extend the life time of transformers and reduce unplanned maintenance and outages.
We would like to invite you to this very special 10th anniversary issue of the transformer life management conference. We want to stimulate the innovation and improvement of not only new, but also existing machinery. By working together, sharing our experiences and knowledge combined with developing new ideas, it is certain that we will save money and our environment at the same time.
