SPINE - COURSE Workshop with practical exercises Date: Venue: Chairman: Organisation: Course fee: September, 16th – 18th, 2016 - Graz – Austria Institute of Anatomy – Medicine University of Graz /A - 8010 Graz, Harrachgasse 21 G. Ivanic W. Grechenig/ F. Anderhuber € 900.- PREFACE Dear Collegues, for a sufficient treatment of spine disorders, different therapeutic methods and interdisciplinary cooperation is essential. Surgical intervention should not always be the first step of treatment. However, if surgery should become necessary it should be performed as its best. This course on Spine-Surgery, Managed by the Austrian Spine Society, should help to reach this goal. Since basic knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics is essential for every treatment of spinal disorders, this course should provide information also for operative as well as conservative engaged collegues. In order to take special care of the interdisciplinary approach, a wide range of topics will be offered by specialists in various fields of interest. However, the main priority will be set up on practical exercises in the dissection theatre. Special thanks to Prof. Grechenig and to the head of the Anatomic Institute, Prof. Anderhuber, whose excellent institution together with the outstanding quality of cadaver specimens will guarantee an exciting and excellent course. Looking forward to seeing you in Graz Gerd M. Ivanic, MD., Prim.
