Mentor/Buddy System We are the International Department of the students union - ÖH Uni Graz (Referat für Internationales), which is part of the Erasmus Student Network (ESN). ESN is an international, non-profit, student organisation. We are a network for incoming and outgoing students. Our mission is to foster student mobility in Higher Education with the motto Students Helping Students • mentor programme • ESNcard • free SIM card • events and activities such as: - a guided city tour - a welcome party - hiking tours - various other trips •office hours •weekly newsletter and much more! We will try to make your stay more exciting, fun and diversified. Mentors, or Buddies, are local students who assist international students during their stay in Graz. The programme starts upon your arrival in Graz and continues throughout the semester. Your mentor will help you get settled and ease into your new life in Graz. Therefore, it is important to contact your mentor prior to your arrival to tell him/her all your arrival details, as he/she will pick you up at the airport or train station and accompany you to your apartment. Be aware that all students of this programme are volunteers - their motivaion is to learn about your culture, enhance their language skills and hang out with you!
