WANDERPARADIES
Die kleine Ortschaft Montan liegt am
Rande des Naturparks Trudner Horn,
eingebettet in prachtvolle Obst- und
Weingärten. Der steile Dorfkern ist
geprägt von gepflasterten Gassen und
bunten Häusern. Die majestätische
Pfarrkirche stammt aus dem 12. Jh.
und ist dem Hl. Bartholomäus geweiht.
Hoch über dem Dorf thront Schloss
Enn, das von den Herren von Enn um
1172 erbaut wurde. Verstreut auf einer
überaus sonnigen Hangterrasse liegen
die Weiler Pinzon, Glen, Gschnon, Kalditsch und Kaltenbrunn, die ebenfalls
zur Gemeinde Montan zählen. Das

This pleasant village is situated in the
midst of vineyards, giving it its distinctive rural character. Walking through the
historic village centre, with its picturesque narrow streets lined with natural
stone walls, you constantly get glimpses
of beautiful views across the valley. The
origins of the village date back to many
thousands of years ago, even as far back
as the Stone Age and even today, the
medieval buildings are evidence of past
times, which provide the village with
its special charm. You will find strolling
through all this tradition and history

Il piccolo paese di Montagna si trova ai
bordi del Parco naturale Monte Corno, adagiato in una splendida cornice
fatta di frutteti e vigneti. Il centro del
paese è caratterizzato da ripide viuzze
lastricate e case colorate. L'imponente
chiesa parrocchiale risale al XII secolo
ed è dedicata a San Bartolomeo. Al di
sopra del paese si erge il Castello di
Enna, costruito nel 1172 dai signori di
Enna. Sparse su un assolato altopiano
si trovano Pinzano, Gleno, Casignano,
Doladizza e Fontanefredde, le frazioni
di Montagna. L'altopiano è puntellato
dai tipici vigneti sui quali crescono l'uva
per le migliori produzioni di Pinot Nero
dell'Alto Adige. Il paese è un punto di
partenza ideale per numerose escursioni a piedi e in mountain bike. Qui
troverete una dimensione di vera pace
e relax, immersi in una natura spettacolare.
The small village of Montagna is located
on the edge of the Monte Corno Nature
Reserve, nestled among magnificent
orchards and vineyards. The village
centre is characterised by steep cobbled streets and colourful houses and
the majestic parish church dates from
the 12th century and is dedicated to
Saint Bartholomew. High above the
village sits Enna Castle, which was built
around 1172 by the lords of Enn. Scattered across a sunny plateau are the
hamlets of Pinzano, Gleno, Casignano,
Doladizza and Fontanefredde, which
all belong to the municipality of Montagna. The plateau is dotted with the
typical vineyards of the region, where
the best Pinot Noir wines in South Tyrol
are produced. The village is an ideal departure point for a variety of hikes and
mountain bike trips. Here you will find

5.000 abitanti. Già nel Medioevo la località era un fiorente centro di scambi
commerciali grazie alla sua strategica
posizione geografica e oggi è un importante centro culturale ed economico
della Bassa Atesina. Le frazioni di Egna
sono: Mazzon, Villa e Laghetti. Non è
un caso che questo incantevole paese
sia considerato uno dei luoghi più belli
d'Italia. Da non perdere è il centro storico del paese, con portici lunghi 500
metri, residenze signorili e meravigliosi
cortili interni. Qui troverete la giusta

Egna is located at the foot of the
Castelfeder hill (217 m above sea level)

Weinstraße. Es ist das größte Weißweinanbaugebiet in Südtirol. Die Haderburg, die sich majestätisch auf einem
Felsen über der Ortschaft erhebt, ist das
Wahrzeichen von Salurn. Ein besonderes Flair verströmt der alte Dorfkern mit
seinen edlen Ansitzen und Gebäuden
aus der Renaissance und Barockzeit, den
romantischen Gassen und Torbögen. Zu
Salurn (224 m) gehören die etwas höher
gelegenen idyllischen Weiler Buchholz
(556 m) und Gfrill (1.326 m), die Teil des
Naturparks Trudner Horn sind. Salurn
ist ein Paradies für Wanderer und hat
auch darüber hinaus noch viel zu bieten: zahlreiche Feste, Konzerte und
kulturelle Veranstaltungen sorgen für
Unterhaltung und sind Ausdruck der
Lebensfreude. Hier trifft italienischer
Lebensstil auf Südtiroler Tradition,

Salorno è, venendo da sud, il primo paese
dell’Alto Adige. La „Chiusa di Salorno“
rappresenta da secoli il confine tra le
aree di lingua tedesca e italiana. Qui
termina o inizia anche la Strada del Vino
altoatesina. Sul territorio di Salorno si
estende la più grande zona di produzione
di vino bianco dell’Alto Adige. Il castello
di Salorno, chiamato Haderburg, si erge
imponente sulle rocce a sud del paese
ed è il suo simbolo. Il centro storico ha
un fascino particolare grazie alle residenze e gli edifici nobiliari dell’era
rinascimentale e barocca, ai romantici
vicoli e ai grandiosi portoni ad arco. Al
comune di Salorno (224 m) appartengono le frazioni di Pochi (556 m) e di Cauria
(1.326 m), che fanno parte del Parco naturale Monte Corno. Oltre ad essere un
paradiso per escursionisti, Salorno ha un
ricco calendario di intrattenimenti che
testimoniano la gioia di vivere di questa
comunità e il suo impegno culturale. Lo
stile di vita italiano si fonde qui con le
tradizioni sudtirolesi ed è proprio questa unione a rendere unico il fascino di
Salorno.
Salorno, the most southerly village in
South Tyrol, is situated along the border between the German and Italianspeaking areas and forms the end of the
South Tyrolean Wine Route. It is the
largest growing area for white wines in
South Tyrol. Haderburg, the castle of
Salorno, which stands imposingly on
the rocks above the village, is the symbol of this village. The old village centre,
with its noble manor houses and Renaissance and Baroque buildings as well
as its romantic streets and archways,
exudes a very special charm. Situated
somewhat higher up than Salorno (224
m) are the idyllic hamlets of Pochi and
Cauria, at 556 m and 1,326 m above sea
level respectively, which both belong
to the Salorno municipality and which
are part of the Monte Corno Nature
Reserve. Salorno is not only a paradise
for hikers; it has much more to offer
including numerous festivals, concerts
and cultural events that provide a rich
programme of entertainment and are
an expression of the local joie de vivre.
