The tournament is played according to the Swiss system in 9 rounds.
Playing time: 90 minutes for 40 moves + 30 min for the rest of the game with an increment of
30 seconds for each move completed starting from the first
The tournament will be registered with FIDE to win rating.

Special royalties:
The most successful female participant: 1,500.00
For the most successful players with ELO 1801-2000: 1,000.00
For the most successful players with ELO 2001-2100: 1,200.00
For the most successful players with ELO 2101-2200: 1,500.00
For the most successful veterans over 60: 1,500.00
For the most successful junior to 20 years: 1,500.00
For the most successful cadets to 16 years: 1,000.00
Royalties are shared by Hort system and special royalties exclusively according to the achieved
order.
Royalties do not accumulate. Each player can get one royalty, financially more favorable for him.
Croatian players' fees will be paid directly to their giro account within 3 days after the end of the
tournament.
For all participants entitled to payment of royalties, the related income tax of 25% will be paid for.
The registration fee for the competition with the executed application till June 9 amounts to
250kn, and 150 kn for players under 18 years. On the day of the tournament registration fees
amount to 350 kn for seniors and 200kn for those under 18 years.
Registration fees can be paid to the account of ZŠS (Zagreb Chess Federation):
IBAN: HR2424020061100048951 indicating the Zagreb open or in cash at the Federation and on the
day of the competition, but only with prior notice.
Grandmasters and international masters are exempt from paying the registration fee.
The best placed Croatian representative from Zagreb Open acquires the right to participate in the
closed senior Croatian championship for 2017.

Information:
The final registration in the Hall "Academy Dragutin Šurbek" no later than 10th June 2016 till 4:30
P.M.
After that time, players will no longer be registered.

The closing ceremony of the tournament and awards ceremony on 17th June 2016, 30 minutes
after finishing the last game.
