日文研の人びと The People of Nichibunken 基礎領域研究 Theory and Methodology Seminars 日 本文化研究を国際的な視野ですすめるためには、さまざまな能力が必要となります。古文書読解力、外国語の運用、映 像資料の解読、文化理論への習熟…等々です。このとりくみでは、専任教員が自発的に基礎的な課題を設定し、分野の 異なる研究者たちとその能力を共有することがめざされます。一種のゼミナールですが、 おのずと超領域的な討議をひきおこし、 研 究 活 動 Research Activities 研究上の新しい課題を浮上させることもあり、その意味で、基礎領域研究とよばれています。 S tudying Japanese culture from a global perspective requires a variety of skills: interpreting historical manuscripts, proficiency in foreign languages, analyzing visual materials, being well-versed in cultural theory, and so on. In an effort to develop those skills, the faculty instructor independently chooses a fundamental theme with the aim that researchers from different fields will share their skills as they work on the theme.
