Welcome Note
Dear colleagues and friends,
On behalf of the board of the German Society for Hygiene and Microbiology
and the scientific committee we have the pleasure of inviting you to our 68th
Annual Meeting in Ulm.
From 11th–14th September 2016 we are delighted to welcome you in the
Messe Ulm, Donauhalle, and share with you your recent progress in all
aspects of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases. During plenary sessions
renowned scientists from all over the world will present and discuss with you
their most actual research accomplishments.
Numerous workshops, poster sessions and industrial exhibitions will give you
the opportunity to present your data, meet colleagues and inform yourself
about the state of the art in microbiological research and diagnostics.
To make our conference a success and to ensure the intended thematic
scope, we kindly ask you to submit abstracts related to the indicated
conference topics.
You are cordially invited to come to Ulm and I am confident that you will enjoy
your stay here. I am hoping that this meeting will be stimulating and that you
will meet old and new friends and return home with lasting impressions of

dghm-kongress.de and in English only until 31 May 2016. The accepted
abstracts will be published by Elsevier Publishing. An abstract will be
presented as a talk or poster. A committee will select and award the best
