Challenges in rail vehicle coating
On 25 and 26 October 2016, surface coating specialists from the rail vehicle sector will meet at
ECOLROMAT 2016 in Nuremberg to network, find
out more about the latest developments and discuss current issues. For the first time, the event will
include a factory tour. The DB Rolling Stock Maintenance Depot Nuremberg will welcome participants
from the conference and offer an opportunity for
exchanging ideas.
Am 25. und 26. Oktober treffen sich in Nürnberg
die Lackierspezialisten der Schienenfahrzeugbranche zur ECOLROMAT 2016, um Kontakte zu
knüpfen, die aktuellen Entwicklungen kennenzulernen und um zu diskutieren. Erstmals wird ein
Werksbesuch Teil der Veranstaltung sein. Die DB
Fahrzeuginstandhaltung Werk Nürnberg empfängt
die Teilnehmer und bietet Gelegenheit zum fachlichen Austausch.
The key question addressed at Ecolromat 2016 will be
how to achieve the best possible surface quality while
both schedules and budgets become ever tighter.
Im Mittelpunkt der Fachkonferenz wird die Frage
stehen, wie sich eine optimale Qualität der Oberflächen in einem immer engeren Zeit- und Kostenrahmen erreichen lässt.
ECOLROMAT 2016 is the only conference dedicated
to rail vehicle coatings. It brings together employees from European railway maintenance facilities,
their colleagues from the rail vehicles industry, representatives of the paint and coatings industry and
plant construction companies as well as scientists
and experts from other sectors to discuss solutions
and exchange experiences.

Tour of the paint shop at
the DB Heavy Maintenance
Workshop Nuremberg!
The Heavy Maintenance Workshop in Nuremberg has introduced simple techniques to optimise the coating process for multiple unit trains used in the city’s S-Bahn network, reduce the
average residence period and increase the reliability of the process. The programme was under development for many years, but has proven very successful and eliminated a time-consuming and unpredictable stage of the procedure.
As a highlight of the conference, Deutsche Bahn opens the doors of its maintenance depot
to conference visitors and offers a guided tour of the depot’s paint shop – including the
opportunity to witness this innovative system at work painting an ICE 3 high speed train!

Tutorial:
The tutorial is not included in the conference fees and has to be booked separately.
The participation fee include the attendance in the tutorial, list of delegates, the
proceedings and the coffee break.
CONFERENCE LANGUAGE
The conference will be translated simultaneously into English, German and French.
Please note that the contents of lectures
and presentations at simultaneously interpreted conferences are predominately
composed in the English language.
CANCELLATION
Fees will be refunded in full if notice of
cancellation is received by 26 September
2016. 50 % of the conference fees will be
refunded in case notification of cancellation is received later, but not later than 10
October 2016. Delegates who fail to attend
without notifying the organiser will be liable
for the whole conference fees. Substitutions
of delegates may be made at any time. Cancellations and changes should be notified
in writing. In all cases date of postmark
shall apply. Any fees to be refunded will be
paid after the end of the conference. The
organiser reserves the right to change the
programme content or to cancel the event
due to important reasons. Cancellation fees
of third parties that may appear in this context will not be reimbursed.
