On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait
for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. 5 For John baptized with[a] water, but in a
few days you will be baptized with[b] the Holy Spirit.” 6 Then they gathered around him and asked him, “Lord, are
you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7 He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or
dates the Father has set by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and
you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
序論 Overview
●先週申し上げたように、先週の日曜日は、キリスト教の暦では、「ペンテコステ」と呼ばれる特別な
日であった。
As I mentioned last week, last week was a special day called Pentecost in the Christian calendar/almanac.
●ご存知のように、キリスト教の暦で、特筆すべきものは、この「ペンテコステ」のほかに、クリスマ
スがあり、グッドフライデーがあり、イースターがある。
Additional holidays in the Christian calendar include Christmas, Good Friday and Easter
●ここで、今朝(今日)、そのことに詳しく触れる時間は無いが、ある意味で、それらはすべて、この「ペ
ンテコステ」に向かっていると言える。
Today I don’t have the time to go into detail about each, but they all point to Pentecost.
１．後にクリスマスと呼ばれる日に、イエス様は生まれた。
Jesus birth is represented by Christmas
２．それは、私たちと同じように人として生きるためであった。
That is when he became human like us
３．そして、イエス様は十字架に掛かられた。それがグッド・フライデーである。
Then Jesus died on the cross on Good Friday.
それは、私たちの幸福の根本であり、基礎である神様との交わりを「遮断」している罪を取り除くため、
私たちの犯した罪の刑罰を身代わりに受けるためであった。
That is when he died for our sins, being punished in our place. And providing the blessing of forgiveness – the basis
of our happiness as Christians.
４．このように神様との交わりが回復されたので、神様と私たちが一体となるべく、約束の成就とし
て、ご聖霊が弟子たちの上に下ったのである。この聖霊降臨の記念日が、ペンテコステである。
The significance of Pentecost is that it represents the “advent” of a restored relationship with God that had been lost
due to sin. Jesus was sent by God to fulfill the Bible’s promise to restore fellowship between people and God, making
that relationship whole again.
●
このペンテコステが、私たちの信仰にとってどんな大きな意味を持っているかを学ぶことは、極めて
重要、かつ、膨大なことである。
Pentecost is one of the most important events for Christians.
●今日は、そのほんの一部として、イエス様がペンテコステ直前に、この聖霊降臨について語られたお
言葉を通して、このペンテコステの意味についてメッセージを頂きたい。
Today, I will touch only briefly on Pentecost today using the words Jesus spoke about this spiritual descent just
prior to Pentecost, to explain the meaning/significance of Pentecost here.
そのお言葉とは、先ほどお読みした使徒の働き 1 章４－8 節である。特に最後の 8 節に目を留めて頂き
たい。「・・・・」。
We just read those words in Acts 1:4-8. Let’s focus especially on the end part - verse 8.
１．その中心メッセージは、「聖霊があなたがたの上に臨むとき(「来るとき」、When the Holy

、・・・あなたがたは力を受ける」である。
Spirit comes upon you)
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in
all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

２．今日は、このことをフォーカスしてメッセージを頂きたい。
I’ll focus on this point with my message today.
本論 Main Message
Ⅰ．第一は、「力」を持つことの重要性である。
First – the importance of “power”
Ａ，一般社会でも、「力」の重要性は言われている。
Even the general public knows that significance of “power”
１．「力」は「実践力」と同一視される。
“Power” is on par with “power of execution”
２．言い換えるなら、力は、実践力のない、言葉や、思いだけの世界と対比されている。
In other words, “power of execution” is in contrast with a world in which things are no put into action, but just
thought about or mentioned
３．私たちの周りに、言葉や思いだけの世界の無力さを表す表現は一杯ある。
We see all around us many cases of the “powerlessness” of not putting words to action
●「あいつは、口ばっかりで、何もできない」、「頭でっかちで、実際には何もできない」
For example: “He’s all talk. He never carries through” or “She talks big, but nothing ever comes of it”
●更に、沢山の人々が、米国でも、日本でも、政治家と呼ばれる人々に「愛想を尽か」しているのはな
ぜか？多くの政治家たちが、言葉だけで実際には無力だからである。
Furthermore, why do you think so many in Japan or the USA, lose interest with politicians? It’s because they are all
talk and never carry through.
４．「宗教」とか、「信仰」の世界も同じである。宗教とか信仰は、とかく「ただ言葉や精神の世界だ
けで、現実の世界、現実の生活には無力で、通用しない」と思われがちである
It’s the same in the world of faith and religion. It’s been said that “faith and religion are just about kind words and
psychology, but it is not applicable or adequate for a real way of life”
Ｂ．故に聖書は、信仰において、言葉だけでなく、実際に何かを動かす「力」の重要性を強調する。
Therefore, the bible emphasizes that faith is not just “words” but is the power to actually move something (make
something happen).
１．まず、パウロは、明確、単刀直入にこのように言う。「思いあがっている人たちの、ことばではな
く、力を見せてもらいましょう。神の国はことばではなく、力にあるのです」(Ⅰコリント 4 章 19－20 節)
First, in 1 Corinthians 4:19-20, Paul goes right to the point and distinctly says:
But I will come to you very soon, if the Lord is willing, and then I will find out not only how these arrogant
people are talking, but what power they have. 20 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.

The essence of religion is not just to have theological debates
(2)
Neither is it just reciting moral and idealistic thoughts
(3)
It isn’t about lining up and glossing over idealism or spiritualism

宗教の神髄とは、単なる神学論争でもないし、
道徳的理想論を唱えるものでもないし、
精神論を並べる「きれいごと」でもない。
具体的に、現実の生活の中で、何かを変えて行く「力「をもっているのが私たちの信仰であるとパウ
ロは明言するのである。
Fundamentally, in a real life style, having the power to change things in our lives is what Paul described as faith
２．更にパウロは、このように言っている。「私は福音を恥とは思いません。福音は、ユダヤ人をはじ
めギリシャ人にも、信じるすべての人にとって、救いを得させる神の力です」(ローマ 1 章 16 節)。
Paul also said in Romans 1:16 “16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings
salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.”

(1)パウロは「私は福音を恥とは思わない」と言った。それは、「私は福音を誇る」と言ったのと同じで
ある。私たちはイエス様の福音を誇りとしているだろうか？！
Paul said “For I am not ashamed of the”. It’s the same as saying “I am proud of the gospel”. Do we live our life
boasting in the gospel?”

Why did Paul say he wasn’t ashamed? Because the gospel saves, and changes people – making them new

なぜ、パウロは恥ずることなく福音を伝えたのか？！それは、福音には人を救う、人を変える、人を
新しい人に造り替える Ⅱコリント章節「力」があるからである。
ここで、「力」と訳されている「デューナミス」と言うギリシャ語が、やがて、「ダイナマイト」の
語源となった。
Here “power” has been translated from “dynamis (maybe?)” in Greek. It means “dynamite”
(4)ダイナマイトは、トンネル工事のような事業をうち進めるために、しばしば私たちの眼前に立ちはだ
かり、固い地盤、岩盤を物の見事に打ち砕いてくれる「力」を持っている。
Like a tunnel being blown up with dynamite. Sometimes in our lives we need “power” to blast through a big hard
wall or bedrock to see the beauty awaiting.

それと同様に、福音は、幸せを追及する私たちの人生の前に容赦なく立ちはだかる罪の問題、生活の
困窮、様々な障壁・障害を見事に打ち砕き、除去する力を持っている。
At the same time, sin is always relentlessly standing the way of our happiness we seek through our faith, and faith
gives us the “power” to beat down those walls and destroy those obstacles.

In this way Paul said that the essence of our faith in the gospel is “power”
このようにパウロは、私たちの信じる福音は「力」がその真髄であると宣言する。
３．イエスさまも、また「力」の重要性・必要性を弟子たちに訴えている。
Jesus also made the claim to the disciples of the significance and necessity of “power”
(1) まず、第一にルカ 24 章 49 節を見たい。「さあ、わたしは、私の父の約束してくださったものをあな
たがたに送ります。あなたがたは、いと高きところから「力」を着せられるまでは、都に留まっていなさ
い。」
First, in Luke 24:49 “49 I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have
been clothed with power from on high.”

その重要性は、まず第一に、上から天から、聖霊による「力」が与えられることは、父なる神様の
「約束」であったとイエス様が指摘されたことにある。
The significance Jesus was pointing out was: 1) from on high (the Holy Spirit) 2) given power 3) God’s promise
●それは、思い付きや、オプションではなく、すべての人のために、父なる神様が計画し、御子の命と
引き換えに、成就してくださった約束であるというのである。
That is a promise to all people – not just an option or an idea – of God’s plan to send the Holy Spirit in place of the
Son
また、その重要性は、力を受けるまでは、都に留まっていなさいとあるように、それをいい加減にし
たまま、どんどん先に進んではならない。力を受けることを、人生と生活のトップ・プライオリティーに
するように言われていることに表されている。
●
Also, the significance of “ stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.” Meant that they
could not go on half-heartedly in their work – they needed God’s “power” - as top priority to continue.

もう一つは、場面的には同じときとも思われる。即ち、復活後、弟子たちと過ごした日間の最後、
昇天直前の言葉として、同じルカがもう一度使徒の働き章節に記している今日の聖書箇所である。即
ち、「聖霊があなたがたの上に臨まれるとき、あなたがたは「力」を受けます」である。

Also, this passage has a similar backdrop to the one we read today in Acts 1: 4-8, when just before the
Ascension, when Jesus to the apostles 40 days after appearing following his resurrection saying: “8 But you will
receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you”
Ⅱ．それでは、聖霊が私たちに臨むことによって、私たちが受ける「力」とは、どんな力なのかを考え
たい。
So then, what is this “power” that the Bible says it will give us to face many things.
Ａ，まず、ご聖霊がくださる力は、消極的に言って、「どんな力では無いか」について考えたい。
The, taking a slightly pessimistic approach, let’s consider what “power from the Holy spirit “isn’t:
１．一般社会との関連において「力」を考えると：
Considering what “power” is to the general public:
(1)聖霊に満たされたからと言って、一般社会でいう、いわゆる、政治の力、経済の力、運動能力が増進
するのではない。
The Bible says the power will fill you with the Holy Spirit, so it doesn’t refer to “political power, or “financial
power “or the power to increase physical ability.
(2)
勿論、聖霊に満たされたことが、それらの力に影響を与え、励まされて、それらに関連する私たちの
力が発展・成長することはある。
Of course, if filled with the Holy Spirit, the influence of that power will definitely encourage us and help develop
and grow in our faith.
２．次に、宗教や信仰の世界についても考えたい。これについても同様なことが言える。
Next, I would like to think about the world of faith and religion. We could say the same thing.
(1)それは必ずしも、信仰の証しをするときや説教するときの「雄弁の力」を意味しない。
It doesn’t necessarily mean that you will have the gift of articulating a sermon or testimony either
●聖霊の人であったパウロの説教は必ずしもいわゆる雄弁ではなかった。参考：Ⅱコリント 10:10「パウ
ロの手紙は重みがあって力強いが、実際に会った場合の彼は弱々しく、その話しぶりは、なっていな
い。」
II Corinthians 10:10 says that Paul was not necessarily gifted with eloquent speech. “10 For some say, “His letters
are weighty and forceful, but in person he is unimpressive and his speaking amounts to nothing.””

使徒の働き章－節に関して、ある聖書講解者たちは、アポロは元々人間として雄弁ではあっ
たが、まだ「聖霊に満たされる」という「神の道」を十分に知らなかった。しかし、それを知った後、力
強い宣教ができたと説明する。即ち、説教における雄弁さは必ずしも神の力ではない。
Acts 18:24-28 talks about this man Apollos who learn that eloquent speech was not necessarily equivalent with
God’s “power”. “24 Meanwhile a Jew named Apollos, a native of Alexandria, came to Ephesus. He was a learned
man, with a thorough knowledge of the Scriptures. 25 He had been instructed in the way of the Lord, and he spoke
with great fervor[a] and taught about Jesus accurately, though he knew only the baptism of John. 26 He began to speak
boldly in the synagogue. When Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they invited him to their home and explained to him
the way of God more adequately.27 When Apollos wanted to go to Achaia, the brothers and sisters encouraged him
and wrote to the disciples there to welcome him. When he arrived, he was a great help to those who by grace had
believed. 28 For he vigorously refuted his Jewish opponents in public debate, proving from the Scriptures that Jesus
was the Messiah.
それは、また、必ずしも、奇跡を行う力、病を癒やす力を意味しない。
イエス様の弟子たちは、まだ聖霊に満たされていない時にも、すでに、病を癒やす力、悪霊を追い出
す力を持っていた。
The Disciples were able to do miracles and heal people well before being filled with the Holy Spirit.
●マタイ 10 章 1 節「イエスは 12 弟子を呼び寄せて汚れた霊どもを制する権威をお授けになった。霊ども
を追い出し、あらゆる病気、あらゆる患いを直すためであった」。

It also doesn’t necessarily mean that the ability to heal or do miracles is proof of the power of the Holy Spirit.
●
Matthew 10:1 “10 Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and
to heal every disease and sickness.”

●ルカ 10 章 17 節「さて、70 人が喜んで帰って来て、こう言った。「主よ。あなたの御名を使うと、悪
霊どもでさえ、私たちに服従します」と。
Luke 10:17 “ The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.”
●即ち、それらは、イエス様の御名と権威によるもの、神様のご計画によるものであって、その人が聖
霊に満たされているか否かとは必ずしも関係がない。

Namely, they were doing these things in Jesus’s name, according to God’s plan. It was not necessary for them to be
filled by the Holy Spirit yet.
Ｂ．それでは、ご聖霊がくださる力とは、積極的に言って、「どんな力なのか？」について考えたい。
Now, let’s look at this from a positive view. What kind of power “is” the power of the Holy Spirit?
１．それは、一言で言って、使徒の働き 1 章 8 節にある「キリストの証人となる力」である。
Simply put, it is “The power to be witnesses of Christ” , as is said in Acts 1:4-8
(1)それは、第一に、「キリストを信じて生きていることを証言する力」である。
Above all it is to “Live a life that is proof of a belief in Christ”
●言い換えるなら、それは、人生のあらゆる場面で、「私を生かしているのは、イエス様です」といつ
も、すべての人にキリストを指示す証人となる力である。
In other words, in all walks of life, it’s the power to live a life that shows others that “What is making me live is
Christ”

その例を挙げるなら、使徒の働き章、特に－節にあるペテロの姿です。人々が目の前の足の不
自由な人の奇跡的癒しを見たとき、「それはペテロがしたことだ」とペテロを褒め称えようした。その時、
ペテロは「それをしたのは、私ではない。イエス様だ」とイエス様の証人となった。
To give an example, let’s look at Peter in Acts 3, and especially Acts 1:12 – 16, when people saw before their eyes
a miracle of a person who couldn’t walk, start to walk, people praised Peter, but he said “It was not me but Christ
that healed him” . That’s when Peter became a witness of Christ.
“12 When Peter saw this, he said to them: “Fellow Israelites, why does this surprise you? Why do you stare at us as
if by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk? 13 The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of
our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus. You handed him over to be killed, and you disowned him before Pilate,
though he had decided to let him go. 14 You disowned the Holy and Righteous One and asked that a murderer be
released to you. 15 You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this. 16 By
faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus’ name and the faith that
comes through him that has completely healed him, as you can all see.
●私たちは、どうであろうか？何か良いことがあったとき、人から褒められたとき、それは、イエス
様が助けてくださったから、私を今のようにしているのは、イエス様ですと証ししているか？！
How about with us? When something good happens, and we get praised by people, do we freely say that it is
because of our faith in God and give testimony of Christ’s power?

Repeatedly, I see that people give excuses about feeling awkward about mentioning Jesus when they are successful,
and so most people don’t give credit where it is due .
●
しばしば、見ることは、色々な言い訳をして「余りイエス様、イエス様と言うと、嫌がられる」など
と、滅多にイエス様を出さない人が多い。
勿論、その言い訳が当たっているときもある。しかし、多くの場合、単に勇気がない。イエス様の力
をそこまで自分の中で経験していないからである。
Of course, there are some good explanations. Maybe they lack courage. They don’t feel like they have had enough
experience with Jesus working in their lives yet.
●
しかし、聖霊による力が与えられると、もっとイエス様が生活に近くなり、イエス様によって生かさ
れていることが如実・現実となり、勇気と力が与えられ証人となる。
However, if you are filled with power form the Holy Spirit it means that you are close to Jesus, and you are living
through Jesus – that is a reality and truth –and you can be a witness of the power and courage He has given to you.
(2)
第二に、「キリストの愛の証人となる力」である。

Secondly is the power to be a witness of “Jesus’ love”
人間が、最終的に、究極的に必要としているものは何だと思うか？説教でも、正論でも、お金でも、
健康でも、成功でも、安定でさえもない。それは愛である。(勿論、それらを持っていない私たちには理
解できないことかも知れないが・・・)
●
What do people put most priority on? It’s not sermon, reason, money. Health, success, or stability but Love. Of
course, for those of us who don’t have those things, it may be difficult to understand but…

しかし、それは、Ⅰコリント章で、聖書が明確にしていることである。－節、更に、節で、聖
書は、明確に、人生で最高・至高のものとして「愛」を指さす。
I Corinthians 13, and especially verse 1-3 makes it clear that Love is the ultimate thing.
“13 If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging
cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that
can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body
to hardship that I may boast,[b] but do not have love, I gain nothing.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”

In John 13: 14-35 Jesus said “ Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash
one another’s feet. 15 I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. 16 Very truly I tell you, no
servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. 17 Now that you know these
things, you will be blessed if you do them.”
●
イエス様は言われた。「私があなたがたを愛したように、あなたがたも互いに愛し合いなさい。その
ことによって、あなたがたが私の弟子であることを人々は知るようになる」ヨハネ章－節と。
言うまでもなく、私たちの愛はイエス様の愛とは比べることはできないほどに微小である。しかし、
私たちがするべきことはイエス様から愛を頂いて、イエス様の愛の証人として、その愛を周囲の人に分か
ち届けることである。
It goes without saying that our love is so microscopic that it can’t be compared with Jesus’s love. However, Jesus
gives us love to be able to accomplish things, so as witnesses for Christ we can relay that love to the people around us.
●50
歳そこそこでアルツアイマーの症状が顕われ、徐々に進行して行った一人の婦人がおられた。ご主
人は、バブルが弾ける前の日本経済が最も盛んだった頃、某有名銀行の東京のある大きな支店の支店長。
もう少しで出世コースの梯子を上り詰めるところまで来ていたバリバリの企業戦士的サラリーマン。努力
すれば何でもできると言う哲学をもって生きて来た人。妻が不治の病である進行性のアルツアイマーと診
断されたときでも、どのお医者さんの治療にも満足せず、「俺が必ず良くして見せる、直して見せる」と
言って、忙しい仕事の中あらゆる努力する。しかし、やがて、自分の力の限界を知るようになる。一方、
実は奥さんは、アルツアイマーが悪くなる直前にイエス様を信じてクリスチャンになっていた。その妻に
とって教会に行くことが最高の喜びであることを知って、ご主人は毎週教会に行くようになり、やがて彼
もクリスチャンになる。そのような中、彼は大決断をする。出世階段を上り続けることを止めるのである。
退職し、残りの生涯を妻に仕え、世話をするために捧げるのである。この物語は、フジテレビのドキュメ
ンタリーとしてもう 20 数年前に流された。その番組の最後で、彼の既に結婚していた娘が、番組のディ
レクターに出した手紙が紹介された。そこにはこう書いてあった。「私にとって奇跡とは、ある朝起きた
とき、母がまた元のように話し、食べている姿を見ることではない。私に取って奇跡とは、15 分と割いて、
家族と共に、家族のために過ごそうとしなかった、あの仕事人間の父が、朝から晩まで母の世話をするた
めに母と共に過ごしている姿を見ることです」と。
There was a woman who at 50 developed Alzheimer’s and symptoms increased. Her husband had been a
prosperous Bank branch manager in during the “bubble” in Tokyo, prior to the recession. He was climbing the
corporate ladder, working hard. But no doctor could help the progressive illness his wife was facing. He thought “ I
will show her that I will find the best treatment; I will make her better”. But he soon came to understand his limits.
On the one hand his wife had become a Christian just before she became ill. The husband saw how happy it made his
wife to go to church every week and he soon became a Christian too. He had a major choice to make – he decided to
stop trying to climb the corporate ladder. He retired and used his life savings and dedicated his life to taking care of
his wife. This story was featured on Fuji television about 20 some years ago. Then the man’s daughter, who was
married by then, sent a letter to the Director saying” For me a miracle wouldn’t have been that one day I woke up and

my mom was eating and talking just like before. But rather the miracle I witnessed was my dad, who had been such a
workaholic, gave it all up and dedicated his life every single day to taking care of my mom.”.
●
このご主人は、彼の娘、家族に対して、また周囲の人々に対して、奥さんを愛しておられるイエス様
の愛の証人となって奥さんを愛したのである。
This husband showed the love of God to his daughter, his family and those around him, by being a witness to
Jesus’s love in the way he loved his wife.
●
これが最終的、究極的にに人々の求めているものである。仕事をする力でも、キャリヤマンとして成
功する力でもなない。それは愛する力である。キリストの愛の証人となる力である。
This is the ultimate request. Not for career “power” or to advance, but the power to love, and be a witness of Jesus.
２．最後に触れたいことは、私たちは「どこで」キリストの証人となるのか？である。
Lastly what I want to touch on is “where” can we be a witness of Christ’s love?
(1)多くの人たちは、牧師も含めて、ともすると、教会の中だけで証人となっている。
Lots’ of people, pastors included, are witnesses of Christ’s love in church only.
●それは、さながら、証人と言う言葉が、裁判・法廷用語であり、私たちが証人となるのは裁判所の証
人席だけでのものであるように、教会だけのものになっていないか？
Though the word witness is also used when talking about trials, and trial witnesses actually “witness” in court. We
as Christians don’t just have to witness in church.
●
How about in your daily life? How do we “witness”?

What does the Bible say?
●
普段はどうなのか？普段の生活では「証人」となっているのか？
聖書は何と言っているか？
イエス様は言われた。もう一度８節「しかし、聖霊があなたがたの上に臨まれるとき、あなたがたは
力を受けます。そして、エルサレム、ユダヤとサマリヤの全土、及び地の果てにまで、私の証人となりま
す」。
As Jesus said in Acts 1: 8 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my
witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

The places where we can be Jesus’s witness:
私たちが、イエス様の「証人」となるべき場所は、
① まず、自分たちの今いる場所、生活のど真ん中であるエルサレムがら始まり、
Where you are now living your life. Starting in Jerusalem (for the disciples).
② ユダヤと言う、同国人、気のおける仲間達のいる場所、職場や学校であり、
In “Judea” with your own people. At work and school.
③ サマリヤというどこか気の合わない、互いに敵愾心(てきがいしん)さえある人々の間で、今で言
うなら性格や、趣味の合わない人、利害関係の反する人たちの間、
In Samaria, where people have different beliefs and culture. With opposite views who are hostile with you.
④ 更には、地の果てという見ず知らずの場所、自分に関係のないと思える場所、自分を知る人が誰
もいないような場所で、日本人なら「旅の恥のかき捨て」と言って、無責任な行為をするような旅先もで
ある。
Furthermore, to the end of the world. Places you don’t yet know. Go without hesitation.
●だいぶ前であるが、以前読んだ本に「普段着の聖徒」と言う題の本があった。私の大好きなテーマで
ある。教会とか、集会とかと言う特別な場所や場合ではなく、「今いるその場所、エルサレム」、毎日の
普段着の生活の中で証人となることが大切である。
It was a long time ago but I read a book called “The plain clothes disciple”. I really liked it because it said just be a
witness wherever you are. You don’t need a special place or occasion. “Now you are here, now is the time – in
Jerusalem”. It’s important to be a witness daily in your regular life.

結論 summary
しかし、一体誰が、このような意味で、「キリストの証人」になれるか？ＮＯ‼「誰もできない」。
不可能、これが正解である。
It is true that no one can be a perfect witness for Christ every day.
●その人間的不可能を可能にするのが、神であるご聖霊であり、ご聖霊が私たちのところに来て、私た
ちの魂の内に住み、ご聖霊の力と私たちが一体になる時、即ち、「聖霊が私たちの上に臨まれる時」、私
たちは力を受けて、私の証人、キリストの証人となれるのである。

Only the Holy spirit can make the possible out of an impossible situation. The Holy spirit is upon us, and living
within our hearts, when we become one with the power of the Holy spirit “when the Holy spirit is upon us” we will
have that power, as a witness of Christ.

Let’s pray that the holy spirt manifests in us and in our lives.

Let’s pray that Jesus fills our lives.

聖霊を求めましょう。私たちの心の中に、生活の中に来て下さるようにと祈りましょう。
心と生活の中に、イエス様が満ちてくださるように祈りましょう。
そのために、自分の心と生涯を全部イエス様に捧げましょう。空っぽになり、「聖霊に満たして下さ
い」と祈りましょう。
Let’s give our lives to Christ, so we may experience this power. Become empty and pray “Holy Spirit please fill
me!”
