Child Allowance (Jidō Teate)
►Payment for February – May 2015
Child Allowance for the previous three months, February – May 2015, will be
transferred to your bank account on Friday, June 12. If you have changed your bank
account, you must notify the Childrearing Support Section (Kosodate Shien-gakari)
of the Child and Family Support Division (Kodomo Mirai-ka) immediately.
You also must notify the Childrearing Support Section in the following cases:
 When you move out of Fujinomiya
 When the recipient and the child live separately
 When the recipient becomes a public servant
There may be cases where you will be required to refund the allowance you have received if
you do not notify the Childrearing Support Section of the above mentioned immediately.
►Temporary Special Benefit for Households with Children (Kosodate Setai Rinji Tokurei Kyūfu-kin)
This special benefit is a temporary measure to mitigate the impact on families rearing children and to revitalize the economy,

*The application form will be mailed to those who are eligible along with the genkyō todoke
form in early June. If you are a public servant, the application form will be handed to you
directly.

Temporary Welfare Benefit (Rinji Fukushi Kyūfu-kin)
This welfare benefit is a provisional and temporary measure to give due consideration to those with low income, in
response to the increase in the consumption tax rate.

2015, except those who are dependents of a person paying municipal tax and who
are Seikatsu Hogo (public assistance) recipients.

Subsidy Program for Medical Care of Single-Parent Families, etc.
Households on which income tax was not levied in 2014, and those in one of the following conditions are eligible for this
subsidy program:
 Parents and children of single-parent families with children under 20 years old
 Those who are under 20 years old and have no parents
 Those who are under 20 years old and have no support from their parents because their
parents is either heavily disabled, imprisoned or missing for more than 1 year.
To apply for the program, you must bring the following items and visit the Child and Family
Support Division (Kodomo Mirai-ka):
 A passbook of a savings account (yokin tsūchō) held by the
children’s gurdian
 health insurance cards (kenkō hoken-shō) of all family members
 unregistered seal for everyday use (mitome-in)
 income tax certificate (shotoku kazei shōmei-sho) in case you
have moved in Fujinomiya after January 2, 2014

About FAIR (Fujinomiya Association for International Relations)
Established in 1994, FAIR has been promoting international
exchange between local organizations and non-Japanese
residents of Fujinomiya.
The office of FAIR has moved to Ekimae Kōryū Center
(Kirara), a new community center in front of JR Fujinomiya
Station and Fujikyū Shizuoka Bus Terminal in April 2014. We
hope that this location has raised the accessibility of FAIR for you!
