GENERAL LANGUAGE COURSES
Learn German with the professionals: the Goethe-Institut Montreal offers regular language
courses at all levels. Following an individual placement test, you can begin learning at the
level suited to you. If you have no previous knowledge of German, you will automatically be
registered at level A 1.1.
For course Participants (16 years+)
REGULAR COURSES
oo Duration of course: 4 weeks
oo Start: July 04, 2016
oo Frequency: 4x per week (3 teaching units)
oo Total of 48 teaching units (1 teaching unit = 45 minutes)
oo Participants: a minimum of 10 to a maximum of 18
Course fee: $ 500
For Teens (ages 12 – 15)
REGULAR COURSES
oo Duration of course: 2 weeks
oo Start: July 04, 2016
oo Frequency: 4x per week (6 teaching units)
oo Total of 48 teaching units (1 teaching unit = 45 minutes)
oo Participants: maximum class size 16
Course fee: $ 500
SPECIAL COURSES
In our special courses you can perfect your pronunciation and intonation. You can practice skills
such as writing or conversation, or acquire specialized knowledge on topics such as literature,
cinema, contemporary Germany etc.
oo Duration of course: 4 weeks
oo Start: July 04, 2016
oo Frequency: once per week (3 teaching units)
oo Total of 12 teaching units (1 teaching unit = 45 minutes)
oo Participants: a minimum of 10 to a maximum of 16
Course fee: $ 150
TAILOR MADE COURSES
We work with you to tailor the ideal course for an individual or for a small group. Courses can
be taught at the Goethe-Institut or at your location. The contents, frequency and duration of the
course will be made to suit your needs and wishes. Please contact us for further information.

Our lessons are lively and interesting. Within no time at all young learners will be actively using
German by doing small projects such as creating video-clips, podcasts and comics. They will be
speaking the language right from the start and make a lot of progress within a short time.

If you wish to take an exam but are not registered in a course A1.3, A2.3, B1+, B2.3, C1.4, C2.4
at the Goethe-Institut Montreal, you may schedule an appointment for an individual exam. In
such case, the fees will increase by 50%. Please contact the language department for further
