Light Microscopy Support for plant imaging analysis Research Supporter: Tetsuya Higashiyama (Institute of Transformative Bio‐Molecules) ITbM Live Imaging Center (http://www.itbm.nagoya‐u.ac.jp/liveimagingcenter/en/) is an imaging and processing site that provides access to researchers worldwide. We possess a number of leading‐edge laser microscopes which allow the following advanced imaging. The imaging subjects cover a wide variety of biological samples (bacteria, fungi, green algae, plants, animals). Users will have supports ranging from experimental design to data acquisition by coodinators. Deep imaging in plants Multiple imaging ・ The upright two‐photon microscope (TCS‐SP8; Leica) equipped with the wide tuning femtosecond laser (InSight DeepSee; Spectra Physics) ・ The inverted two‐photon microscope (LSM780‐NLO‐DUO; Zeiss) equipped with the Chameleon laser (Coherent). ・ Lightsheet microscope (Lightsheet Z1.; Zeiss) Electrical stage for high‐ throughput imaging with microwell plates Super‐resolution imaging Spectral unmixing from spectral information The super resolution microscopy (TCS‐SP8 gSTED; Leica) equipped with the 592 nm laser for the stimulated emission depletion. In addition to multi‐Argon laser line, a white light laser wavelengths between 470‐670 nm are also available. λ imaging Micro‐fluidics devices Microelectromechanical systems for quantitative analysis Micro‐manipulation ・ Laser thermal microinjector (LTM1000; Nepagene) ・ Microdissection and optical tweezers (PALM Combi system; Zeiss) ・ IR‐LEGO (Olympus) Synthetic molecules Synthetic fluorescent molecules developed by ITbM L09
