Erema Engineering Recycling Maschinen und Anlagen GmbH Erema Engineering Recycling Maschinen und Anlagen GmbH said sales for its recycling
equipment grew 5 percent.
Ansfelden, Austria — Austrian recycling systems manufacturer Erema Engineering Recycling Maschinen und Anlagen GmbH reported a sales gain of
5 percent, as sales hit 122 million euros ($137 million) in fiscal year 2015-2016.
That marks the highest sales in company history, officials said.
The latest annual sales increase follows a 20 percent gain the year before.
The Ansfelden-based company reports that about 4,500 Erema recycling systems are in operation around the world. Sales for the total Erema Group
— which includes Erema and its sister companies, the Pure Loop business and 3S, had sales of 132 million euros ($148 million).
Erema Group employs 480 in all five continents.
Erema’s financial results announcement said that, “despite circumstances being economically and politically challenging due to the low oil
process, Erema has remained committed to increasing the quality of recyclates, and recorded increasing demand, especially in the post-consumer
sector.”
Erema CEO Manfred Hackl said: “This increase in turnover shows us that we are on the right track with our technology — recyclers are turning more
and more into producers of raw material who can be successful with recyclates which are customized for the end application.”
Erema’s subsidiary Erema North America Inc. is in Ipswich, Mass.
