Responsibility Summary

Geographic scope: Market primary global secondary
Responsible for providing instructional design expertise to design, develop (or procure) and deliver high impact Leadership
development learning solutions (web-based, e-learning or facilitated workshops) to meet global/market Functional/Technical
learning priorities.
Partner with L&D Manager to identify key leadership/professional learning objectives and content then evaluate whether to
procure (open source or vendor) or design potential solution, based on uniqueness of learning content. For in-house design,
conceptualize, storyboard and deliver instructionally sound, interactive and engaging solutions (classroom or e-learning).
Partner with multimedia developer (where necessary) to build and deliver solutions.
Serve as a guide for the Leadership Development Partner and Coordinator where appropriate
Follow industry and emerging trends regarding instructional design to build and improve QVC’s learning solutions.
Key Accountabilities
10%: Partner with LD Manager or L&D Manager to identify key learning objectives and content then evaluate whether to
procure (open source or vendor) or design potential solution, based on uniqueness of learning content.
15%: In Partnership with LD Manager or L&D Manager, identify potential open source or vendor solutions to meet learning
needs & evaluate options. Support solutions procurement as necessary.
60%: For in-house solutions, conceptualize, storyboard and deliver instructionally sound, contextually-rich, interactive and
engaging solutions (classroom or e-learning) that meet identified learning objectives and & deliver them where necessary.
Develop classroom material, including QU, and document training guide to ensure globally consistent learning solutions.
Partner with multimedia developer to build and deliver solutions where necessary.
Where appropriate, work to edit, translate or amend any global solutions to fit with specific market needs.
5%: Ensure local initiatives are delivered to consistent global Development standards and practices.
5%: In partnership with L&D Manager, identify key measures to assess effectiveness of solution and follow up on feedback
to refine/improve future delivery as necessary.
5%: Follow industry and emerging trends regarding Learning and Development to build and improve QVC’s learning
solutions.
Required Skills
Critical Skills/Knowledge
Knowledge of adult learning principles, facilitation, and learner-centered activities.
Knowledge of Leadership development theories and frameworks.
Knowledge of personality assessments types.
Deep knowledge of Instructional design principles and practices
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Confident facilitation and presentation skills.
Ability to be creative, flexible, and innovative in course design.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, adhere to budgets and meet deadlines.
Ability to support development in English as well as market language to ensure content is accurate.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:

Bachelor Degree in Instructional Design, Development and Evaluation; Learning Technologies, or a related degree is
required; master’s degree is preferred.
Membership/accreditation of relevant professional bodies (i.e. Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development,
American Society for Training & Development, SHRM, American Management Association)
Experience:
Minimum 7-10 years of experience as a facilitator/trainer of leadership and professional development content. Experience in
needs assessment techniques, development of innovative learning and development solutions, learning effectiveness
measurement, and administration.
