We are almost there!
The organisation of the IKA/Culinary Olympics 2016 is
really coming together now. The first teams have already
contacted the German Chefs’ Association (VKD), and
Erfurt’s hoteliers and kitchen chefs are ready to extend a
warm welcome to kitchen chefs from all corners of the
world. With this newsletter service, we shall occasionally
keep you posted on details about the IKA/Culinary
Olympics 2016. In preparation for your participation, you
can also find useful information and facts about the event
on our website www.culinary-olympics.com.

Inspiring: food creations on RAK porcelain

comes to the presentation of the menus during the next
IKA/Culinary Olympics. As one of the official sponsors of the

Drawing: excitement and anticipation
On 21 October 2015, a drawing with a celebrity at the
Erfurt City Hall will decide which of the national culinary
teams, junior national culinary teams and teams
competing for the GV-Award will be contending with each
other on which day. All in all, the exhibition days for the 32
national culinary teams, 28 junior national culinary teams
and 12 teams competing for the GV-Award will be
determined.
Auslosung: Spannung und Vorfreude
Unter prominenter Beteiligung werden am 21.10.2015 im
Rathaus von Erfurt die Wettkampftage der
Nationalmannschaften, Jugendnationalmannschaften und
GV-Teams ausgelost. Insgesamt wird über die
Ausstellungstage von 32 Nationalmannschaften, 28
Jugendnationalmannschaften und 12 GV-Teams
entschieden.

For the first time, registration of the teams and individual
exhibitors will only be possible via the form on the website
of the IKA/Culinary Olympics. Registration is done under
the menu option “Registration”. This is where you can
select the form for your competition category and enter the
required data. The registration is valid once the security
deposit and the registration fee payments (through Visa or
MasterCard) have been made. Your credit card information
will be forwarded to us through a secure encrypted
information transfer system.
Ab sofort: Online-Anmeldung
Die Anmeldung der Teams wie auch der Einzelaussteller ist
erstmalig nur online über das Formular auf der Homepage
der IKA/Olympiade der Köche möglich. Die Registrierung
erfolgt über den Menü-Punkt „Anmeldung“. Dort wählen
Sie das entsprechende Formular ihrer Wettkampfkategorie
und geben die gewünschten Daten ein. Die Anmeldung ist
durch Bezahlung (Visa- oder Masterkarte) der Kaution und
Anmeldegebühr abgeschlossen. Ihre Zahlungsdaten
werden durch ein verschlüsseltes System sicher
übertragen.

To put you in the right mood for the IKA/Culinary Olympics,
the VKD offers a number of articles in connection with the
leading exhibition of culinary art. The selection ranges from
IKA scarfs and quilted IKA vests for setting up the show
plates in the morning to IKA aprons and power balance
bracelets that monitor your well-being.

Um sich auf die IKA/Olympiade der Köche richtig
einzustimmen, bietet der VKD eine Reihe von Artikeln rund

“When more than 2,000 chefs meet in Erfurt to pay tribute
to the best representatives of their trade, strong partners
are required. For this reason, we have decided to support
the IKA/Culinary Olympics,” explained Sven Bodry, Sales
Director at RAK Porcelain Europe. With this statement, RAK
will not only sponsor the tableware for the IKA restaurant,
but will also offer the national culinary teams free
platters, bowls and plates for the cold food displays.
