FOCUS 2016
June 16 to 19, 2016, Bregenzerwald
The Austrian Amateur Theatre Festival with international participation, FOCUS 2016, will
take place in a region rather than in a town, in the region of Bregenzerwald.
All the amateur theatre groups of Bregenzerwald, 13 all together, will commonly host FOCUS
2016. Preparing the event, intensive open collaboration is required for common
development and organisation, and the exchange of ideas.
Together with all our guests from around the world we want to celebrate a great, creative,
thrilling, passionate, open theatre festival without borders.
Therefore, we invite keen amateur theatre troupes to apply.
FOCUS expects productions of high literary and dramaturgical standards and ample variety in
contents an artistic expression.
Plays that do not rely heavily on text will be preferred to the benefit of an audience not
speaking the respective languages.
We offer:
 about 12 representative plays, each 30 up to 90 minutes
 professional feedback, open discussion
 free board and lodging for a maximum of 10 players per group
 a great scenery and attractive supporting programme
