Die Firmengründung der Wendt-SIT GmbH, der Muttergesellschaft der heutigen Wendt-Automotive GmbH, reicht in
das Jahr 1874 zurück. Die heutige Gesellschaft bietet ihren
Kunden das komplette Leistungsspektrum im Bereich der
Prototypen- und Serienfertigung für Hochtemperaturisolierungen im Automobilbereich. Das kompetente Fachpersonal
bietet seinen Kunden zahlreiche Kompetenzen von der technischen Auslegung über die konstruktiven Detaillösungen
bis zur Fertigung und Lieferung – natürlich stets in enger
Zusammenarbeit mit den Kunden.
The company foundation of Wendt-SIT GmbH, the parent
company of today‘s Wendt-Automotive GmbH, goes back
to the year 1874. Today‘s company offers its customers the
complete range of services in the field of prototype and serial
production for high-temperature insulation in the automotive
industry. The competent specialist staff offer its customers
numerous skills from technical design and constructive
detailed solutions to manufacturing and delivery – of course
always in close cooperation with the customer.

Hierbei handelt es sich um ein vibrationsbeständiges System bei dem die Abgaskomponenten direkt
mit dem Dämmstoff beaufschlagt werden. Für den
Schutz der Oberfläche und der Bauteilabgrenzung
dient eine geprägte Edelstahlfolie. Bestens geeignet
für den Energieerhalt in Euro5/6 Abgassystemen und
den Schutz umgebender Bauteile durch Wärmestrahlung.

EINSATZGEBIETE
Für jede Abgastemperatur bis 1000°C der richtige
Dämmstoff in entsprechender Güte und Materialdicke lieferbar, mit und ohne Mikroperforation zur
Schallabsorbtion. Vom PKW über Nutzfahrzeuge,
Busse, landwirtschaftliche Fahrzeuge bis hin zu
Bahn Anwendungen – universell einsetzbar.
This is a vibration resistant system in which the
exhaust gas components are supplied directly with
the insulating material. A shaped stainless steel foil
serves for surface protection and component differentiation. Ideally suited for energy conservation in
Euro5/6 exhaust systems and protection of surrounding components by heat radiation.
APPLICATION
For each exhaust gas temperature up to 1000 °C, the
correct insulation material in appropriate goods and
material thickness, with or without microperforation
for accustic absorption. From passenger cars up to
commercial vehicles, buses, agricultural vehicles and
Railway applications - can be used universally.

Zusätzlich zur Montage der Isolierung im Werk
Frankenthal oder Atlanta bietet die Wendt-Automotive GmbH Isolierkits an, die vor Ort im Kundenwerk
montiert werden können. Die Verbindung der Schalen
erfolgt durch Falz– oder Überlappverbindungen,
ebenso kann die Isolation mittels Edelstahlbindern
oder Klammern befestigt werden. Zur Unterstützung
bei der Montage können Zusammenbauvorrichtungen konstruiert und geliefert werden.

TEXTILE ISOLATION

TEXTILE INSULATION
A textile insulation is a technical fabrics with insulation fibre, processed into a mattress. The installation
can be performed by the customer. There are different possibilities for the fixture like hook, hook-andpile fastener or buttons.
FESTSTOFFISOLIERUNG
Bei diesem System wird die mit einem mineralischen
Binder getränkte Dämmstoffmatte mehrlagig auf das
Bauteil aufgebracht.
SOLID INSULATION
In this system, the insulation blanket, impregnated
with a mineral Binder, is applied in multiple layers on
the exhaust system.
MATERIALIEN
ISOLIERVERKLEIDUNG
Materials
Für die Isoliersysteme werden die optimalen Materialien ausgewählt: Edelstahlfolie in verschiedenen
Güten, entsprechend der Anwendungstemperatur
(z.B. 1.4301, 1.4541, 1.4828), diverse Prägestrukturen
zur Erhöhung der Steifigkeit, mit und ohne Mikroperforation, Textilien mit wasserfesten Beschichtungen, Isolierfasern und Gewebe, perfekt für den
Einsatzzweck ausgelegt. Die Edelstahlfolien werden
unter anderem in den Stärken 0,1mm, 0,15mm sowie
0,3mm eingesetzt. Für jeden Einsatzzweck die richtige Isolierung.
The optimal materials are selected for the insulation systems: stainless steel foil in different grades,
according to the application temperature (eg 1.4301,
1.4541, 1.4828), various surface textures to increase
the rigidity, with or without micro-perforation, textiles
with water-resistant coatings, insulating fibers and
fabric, perfect for purpose designed. The stainless

Hier wird der Träger mit Isolierung direkt an der
Abgaskomponente oder in unmittelbarer Umgebung
befestigt wird. Dieser dient somit als Berührungsschutz, und schützt gleichzeitig die umgebenden
Bauteile vor Wärmestrahlung.
INSULATION CLADDING

VERMESSUNG UND TESTS
Within a short time, the finished components can
be directly measured and tested, internally or
externally by reliable partners.
Die fertigen Bauteile können direkt vermessen und
getestet werden, innerhalb kürzester Zeit, intern
