Her motto: ‘Leading a happy life is totally unspectacular’. Happiness is the result of how one lives everyday life: i.e. living
by certain values such as social trust, responsibility, respect, humanism; and by living with a strong social community,
personal freedom, imperfection, improvisation, and, above all, the ability to laugh at life and yourself–which she does very
often.
Maike van den Boom, half Dutch, half German, born 1971 in Heidelberg. Maike holds a degree in Art Therapy from the
Netherlands, where she lived 13 years before she moved to Mexico for two years. With her background in marketing,
communications and sales in different companies and markets in various countries, she is able to translate the
advantages of ‘Happiness’ into the daily life of corporate management.
