ihren Studierenden ein hochwertiges Studium und attraktive Hochschulservices anzubieten.
Wenn Sie sich für ein Studium oder eine Fortbildung am MCI entschieden haben, erwarten Sie neben praxisorientierten Studienplänen,

With a strong focus on quality and customer orientation, MCI Management Center Innsbruck has moved up to join the
leaders in the international university scene. In line with the motto “mentoring the motivated”, the MCI is committed to
offering its students high-grade study programs and attractive university services.
When you choose a study program at the MCI, you can look forward to curricula with a high level of practical relevance,
an international faculty and a motivated student body, and also semesters or modules abroad at one of our noted partner universities worldwide. In addition, project-based teaching, small classes, an exemplary infrastructure and intensive

But that is not all: Students at the MCI benefit from a large number of attractive services that generate a first-class university environment. Bereits seit Jahren arbeitet das MCI mit renommierten Unternehmen aus den Bereichen der Chemie-, Bio- und Lebensmittelverfahrenstechnik sowie der metallverarbeitenden und umwelttechnischen Industrie an gemeinsamen Projekten. Nicht nur Forschungsaufträge in
Form von Bachelor-, Masterarbeiten und Dissertationen sind Teil dieser starken Verbindung, sondern vor allem auch Entwicklungsprojekte
angepasst auf die Bedürfnisse der Industriepartner bereichern immer mehr den Forschungsalltag an der Hochschule sowie die Weiterentwicklung von innovativen Konzepten und industriellen Produkten. So entstehen neben einer gelebten Partnerschaft auch innovative

For many years the MCI has been involved in joint projects with leading companies in the fields of chemical engineering, biotechnology and food process engineering and also in the metal-working and environmental engineering industries. In addition to targeted research commissioned in the form of Bachelor’s and Master’s theses and dissertations,
development projects designed to meet the specific needs of our industry partners as well as the further development
of innovative concepts and industrial products are playing a growing role in research at the MCI. These living partnerships generate innovative solutions.
In addition to the companies involved, the Tyrol as a location for science and research also benefits from this form of
collaboration. In the scientific field especially, cooperation between industry and research lays the foundations for
technological progress. In order to promote such cooperation and increase the number of beacon projects created, the
MCI is now looking for new partners in industry.

Um den Hochschulstatus mit international üblichen akademischen Strukturen zu hinterlegen, hochschulübergreifende akademische Standards, Prozesse und Abstimmungen vorzugeben und zu garantieren und einen hochschulinternen Instanzenzug zu schaffen, wurde an der
Unternehmerischen Hochschule® mit Wintersemester 2012/13 ein akademisches Kollegium eingerichtet. Dieses besteht neben Leitung
und stellvertretender Leitung aus sechs Studiengangsleitern/-innen, sechs Vertretern/-innen des Lehr- und Forschungspersonals und vier
Vertretern/-innen der Studierenden. Die Aufgaben des Kollegiums sind:
• Änderungen betreffend akkreditierte Studiengänge im Einvernehmen mit dem Erhalter;
• Einrichtung und Auflassung von Studiengängen und Lehrgängen zur Weiterbildung im Einvernehmen mit dem Erhalter;
• Antragstellung zum Budget (Investitions-, Sach- und Personalaufwand) an den Erhalter;
• Vorschläge für die Einstellung und Abberufung von Lehr- und Forschungspersonal an den Erhalter;
• Inhaltliche Koordination des gesamten Lehrbetriebes einschließlich der Vergabe von Lehraufträgen durch die Leitung;
• Evaluierung des gesamten Lehrbetriebes samt Prüfungsordnung und Studienpläne;
• Verleihung akademischer Grade und deren Widerruf, Nostrifizierung ausländischer akademischer Grade sowie im Einvernehmen mit
dem Erhalter Verleihung von im Universitätswesen üblichen akademischen Ehrungen;
• Entscheidung über Beschwerden gegenüber Entscheidungen der Studiengangsleitung.

In order to consolidate its university status with internationally accepted academic structures, define and guarantee
inter-university standards, processes and harmonization, create internal levels of review and further institutionalize
university quality controls in a growing organization, an Academic Council has been created at the Entrepreneurial
School®. The Academic Council comprises six study program directors, six representatives of the teaching and research
staff, and four student representatives. Its specific duties are as follows:
• Changes relating to accredited study programs by mutual agreement with the Executive Director;
• Installation and discontinuation of study programs and programs of further education by mutual agreement with the
Executive Director;
• Budget proposals (investments, operating and personnel expenses) to be submitted to the Executive Director;
• Proposals for the appointment and dismissal of faculty to be submitted to the Executive Director;
• Coordination of all teaching at the content level including the allocation of lectures by the Chairperson;
• Evaluation of all teaching, including curricula and examination regulations;
• Award and revocation of academic degrees, recognition of academic degrees earned abroad and, by mutual agreement with the Rector, conferment of honorary awards;
• Rulings on complaints lodged against decisions taken by study program directors.

BETREUUNG IM STUDIENGANG
Vom ersten Tag des Studiums bis zum Abschluss sind die Betreuer/-innen im Studiengang die ersten Ansprechpartner/-innen für das
Studium und alle individuellen Fragen in diesem Zusammenhang. An der Schnittstelle zwischen Studierenden, Lektoren/-innen und MCI
Team organisieren sie in enger Abstimmung mit der Studiengangsleitung den Studienalltag, stellen alle relevanten Informationen für den
reibungslosen Ablauf aller Lehrveranstaltungen zur Verfügung und sorgen dafür, dass sich die Studierenden am MCI wohlfühlen.
PSYCHOLOGISCHE STUDIERENDENBERATUNG
Die psychologische Beratungsstelle für Studierende in Innsbruck ist eine von der Republik eingerichtete und geförderte Institution, welche auch MCI Studierenden zur Verfügung steht. Die Beratung oder Betreuung kann kostenlos und vertraulich in Anspruch

From day one until the completion of your studies your support contact in your program will be your first point of contact for administrative matters and individual questions related to your studies. Your support contact operates at the
interface between students, faculty and the MCI team. Together with your Director of Studies they carefully plan and
coordinate your daily routine as a student, make relevant information for your lectures available and enable you to feel
at ease at MCI.
PSYCHOLOGICAL COUNSELLING FOR STUDENTS
The Students Psychological Counselling Centre in Innsbruck, which is run and financed by the federal authority, is
also open to students of the MCI. The centre offers its services free of charge, and confidentiality it‘s naturally guaranteed. Opening hours for counselling sessions and visitors without an appointment: Monday and Tuesday
1.00 p.m. – 3.00 p.m., Thursday 10.00 a.m. – 12.00 noon, Schoepfstr. 3, 6020 Innsbruck.

PASTORAL CARE
In order to make pastoral care and the support of a church community available to MCI students, faculty and staff, the
MCI has been assigned to the University Parish of St. Clement in Innsbruck. There are also other churches and religious
