USAREUR Local National Internship Program
Emphasizing our commitment to enhancing our engagement with NATO and our allies, U.S. Army
Europe (USAREUR) is launching an Internship Program at its headquarters in Wiesbaden, Germany,
as well as subordinate unit locations.
Target Audience: High-performing Local National University students interested in sharpening their
English skills and gaining practical work experience related to their program of study.
Compensation: USAREUR Local National Internships are categorized as voluntary, but will be
compensated in accordance with German Social and Labor Law.
Eligibility:
 A minimum 18 years of age
 Current full-time university student or student who graduated from a university within 6 months before applying for an internship
 Be able to work a duty scheduled in accordance with German Social Law
 Be able to successfully complete a background check which allows access to U.S. Army installations
and possible DoD computer network
 Be able to work up to 90 days in the program. Length of internship will be in accordance with
German Social and Labor Law.
Application Deadline: 30 November 2015. Spaces are limited and early submission is encouraged.
Applications received after deadline will be considered based on available opportunities.
Notification of Selection: by mid-December 2015
Internship Begins: As soon as possible, pending favorable outcome of background checks

USAREUR - Praktikumsprogramm für ortsansässige Bewerber
Zur Unterstreichung unserer Entschlossenheit zur Ausweitung des Engagements mit der NATO und
unseren Alliierten führt die US-Armee in Europa (USAREUR) bei ihrem Hauptquartier in Wiesbaden
und an nachgeordneten Standorten ein Praktikumsprogramm ein.
Zielgruppe: Ortsansässige Universitätsstudenten/innen mit guten Studienleistungen, die ihre Englischkenntnisse verbessern und praktische Erfahrung in ihrer Studienrichtung sammeln wollen.
Vergütung: Praktika im Rahmen des USAREUR-Praktikumsprogramms sind freiwilliger Natur. Sie
werden jedoch arbeits- und sozialversicherungsrechtskonform vergütet.
Teilnahmevoraussetzungen:
- Mindestalter von 18 Jahren
- Eingeschriebene Vollzeitstudenten oder Absolventen, deren Studienabschluss nicht länger als 6
Monate vor Bewerbung für das Praktikum zurückliegt
- Bereitschaft zu Arbeitszeiten im Einklang mit deutschem Sozialversicherungsrecht
- Unbedenkliche Sicherheitsüberprüfung, um Zugang zu Standorten der US-Armee und eventuell zum
Computernetzwerk des US-Verteidigungsministeriums zu erhalten
- Bereitschaft zu einer Praktikumsdauer von bis zu 90 Tagen. Die Dauer des Praktikums steht im Einklang mit dem einschlägigen Arbeits- und Sozialversicherungsrecht.
Bewerbungsende: 30. November 2015. Die Anzahl der Stellen ist begrenzt und eine frühzeitige Bewerbung ist zu empfehlen. Bewerbungen, die nach Bewerbungsende eingehen, werden entsprechend verfügbarer Möglichkeiten berücksichtigt.

Studenten an deutschen Hochschulen
Wiesbaden – Das Pilotprojekt „Praktikum für Studenten an deutschen Universitäten“ bietet
hochmotivierten Studenten im Rahmen eines bezahlten Praktikums die einzigartige Chance auf
eine „Amerikanische Arbeitserfahrung“ in einer Dienststelle des weltweit größten Arbeitgebers.
Zusätzlich können Englischkenntnisse angewendet und vertieft werden.
Das USAREUR Programm für Studenten an deutschen Universitäten bietet bezahlte Praktika in
verschiedenen Bereichen wie z.B. Public Affairs (Presse- und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit), Human
Resources, Internationale Beziehungen, Logistik, Arbeitssicherheit, usw. in seinem
Hauptquartier in Wiesbaden an. Die Praktika sind auf eine Länge von drei Monaten ausgelegt
und unterliegen dem deutschen Arbeits- und Sozialrecht.
Die Bewerber müssen 18 Jahre oder älter sein und für ein Vollzeitstudium an einer deutschen
Hochschule immatrikuliert sein oder ihr Studium höchstens 6 Monate vor der Bewerbung
abgeschlossen haben. Die Bewerbungsfrist endet am 30.11.2015. Das Bewerbungsprozedere
beinhaltet auch eine komplette Sicherheitsüberprüfung die für die Zugangsberechtigung zu den
amerikanischen Kasernen und für die Nutzung des internen Computer-Netzwerkes
