Tom has 30+ years of experience as an entrepreneur, operational executive and
venture capitalist. He has helped many companies build the market strategy,
management team and financing around their core technologies. He has been a board
member or CEO of six venture backed companies. Dr Rice has a BS and PhD from
Stanford and an MS from MIT. He is interested in software, data analysis, clean
technology, and technically-innovative startups.

YAEL OPPENHEIMER PLUG & PLAY TECH CENTER
Yael works with tech startups and international organizations, both public and private,
to connect their technologies and entrepreneurship ecosystems to Silicon Valley. She
is a native of Montevideo, Uruguay but is now based in Sunnyvale, California where
she enables international entrepreneurs’ access to various resources of Silicon Valley
in order to accelerate and validate their business models. As the Manager of
International Operations, Yael directs Plug and Play's Acceleration program and
serves as the point of contact for the selected entrepreneurs. During her time at Plug
and Play, she has worked with over 50 international startups from more than 10
countries.
Yael was previously a Business Manager for Software Company in Uruguay where she
helped international startups build their technologies with a team of 30+ engineers
and designers. She was also an Assistant Professor at ORT University in Uruguay,
teaching Financial Mathematics to Business Majors. She spent some time at Babson
College, one of the top Entrepreneurship colleges in the United States, and graduated
from ORT University with a degree in Business Administration. Yael speaks fluent
English and Spanish and is very proud of her multicultural background.

STEVE AUSTIN FOUNDERS SPACE
Steve Austin is an innovation and start-up expert and a 25-year veteran of Silicon
Valley. He is the head coach at Founders Space in San Francisco. It’s rated the #1
international accelerator by Forbes.
Austin is also CEO of Silicon Valley i-Lab, a company that provides innovation, revenue
and growth hacking strategies to corporations and startups.
Austin has coached over 1,300 start-ups in Silicon Valley and around the world. Other
start-up clients include the Center for Creative Economy and Innovation, Korea and
Accelerators in Sydney and Istanbul. Austin recently presented talks at Shanghai
University Engineering Science and Tsinghua University in Beijing.
Austin’s teams have delivered several products. His previous company invented
computer chip machines for Intel, Samsung, Seagate, IBM, Philips and SONY. He later
co-founded an online enterprise billing software, won an award for best new smart
card and developed an app and hardware for the Internet-of-things.
Currently he is advising an I-o-T lab in Beijing and consults several companies in
driving revenue.
Austin has a BS in Finance and a major in Chemistry. He is a member of the
Association of Financial Technology and several Silicon Valley technology orgs.

SIGWARD MOSER PARTNER COMMITTED CAPITAL
Sigward Moser. Adjunct Lecturer at MCiT, MCI. Board Metta Institute. Partner
Committed Capital.
Sigward is a serial entrepreneur based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He co-founded
several companies including a local broadband provider, a communications firm
based in New York and a sustainability impact fund with $2 billion in assest which he
successfully exited in 2002.
With his earlier firm Communication House Int’l and the Austrian and German trade
commission in NYC he helped to launch several companies on the US market
including Miele appliances. As adjunct lecturer Sigward teaches a class on
entrepreneurship and start-ups in the area of management and communication in IT
at MCI, a private Austrian University.
He also serves on the board of a hospice organization with focus of end of life care
training for doctors and care takers. His angel investing activities focus on Active
Assisted Living and end of life care.

GERALD REISCHL ORF START UP CAMPUS
Gerald Reischl is the CEO of the ORF Mediaservice GmbH since 1st of January 2016
and will therefore head the ORF Start-up-Campus.
Gerald Reischl is working as a journalist since 1989 and worked for 23 year for the
“Kurier” media house. The past five years he was the editor-in-chief and head of the
portal futurezone.at. Mr. Reischl developed this site to the leading technology news
page in Austria.
