Eva Maria Nitsche Exclusive Gifts and Collectibles
Eva Maria Nitsche studierte Philosophie, Theaterwissenschaften und Literatur, arbeitete als Journalistin für verschiedene
Zeitschriften und als Grafikdesignerin in Werbeagenturen. Ihr
persönlicher Schwerpunkt lag aber immer bei der Malerei
und der Illustration. Sie entwarf das Tarotkartenspiel „Tarot of
Trance“ und das bunt gestaltete Kochbuch „Kitsch + Küche“,
hier tauschen bunt illustrierte Freundinnen aus aller Welt ihre
Lieblingsrezepte aus.
Eva Maria Nitsche studied Philosophy, Theatre Crafts and Literature, worked as a journalist for several magazines and as a graphic designer for advertising agencies. However, her personal
focus was always on painting and illustration; it was she who
designed the tarot card game „Tarot of Trance“ marketed by U.S.
Games as well as the colourful „Kitsch + Küche“ cookery book
published by Christian Publishers in which colourful illustrated
friend are exchanging their favourite recipes.
Die Künstlerin liebt witzige Souvenirs, Flohmarktfundstücke und
folkloristischen Schnickschnack. Bei ihr zuhause gesellen sich
farbenfrohe Babuschkas zu chinesischen Glücksdrachen oder
Kuckucksuhren zu afrikanischen Masken. In ihren Illustrationen
tummeln sich Feen, Bambis und Schmetterlinge, Glückspilze und
Wunderblumen.
This artist loves fun souvenirs, flea market finds and ethnic bits
and pieces. At home she combines colourful Babushka dolls with
Chinese lucky dragons, and cuckoo clocks with African masks. Her
illustrations are full of fairies, baby deer and butterflies, toadstools and fantastic flowers.
In diesen Arrangements steckt fast so etwas wie eine Lebensphilosophie: Nimm dich nicht so ernst, überschreite Konventionen,
spiele mit ästhetischen Gesetzen, schaffe dir deine bunten Welten,

These arrangements are almost an expression of her life philosophy: not to take yourself too seriously, dare to break conventions,
play around with aesthetic rules and create your own colourful
world; in short: design what brings you joy! Eva Maria Nitsche
likes an extravagant, happy aesthetic, combining colours and
forms and experimenting with trends and traditions. Everything
is permitted, as long as it can be combined to create her unmistakable style.
